(1.) 3rd December celebrated as Agriculture Education day . 
 
This  agriculture  education  day  celebrated  in  remembrance 
of  Dr.  Rajendra  Prasad  .  he  is  the  first  union  agriculture 
minister  of  India  and  also  the  first  president  of 
independent India. 
 
(2.)  Kisan  Diwas,  The National Farmers’ Day is observed on 
23rd  December  every  Year.  National  Farmer’s  Day  is 
celebrated  in  the  honor  of  the  former  Prime  Minister  of 
India  Chaudhary  Charan  Singh  who  was  the  fifth  Prime 
Minister of India. 
 
The  Agricultural  Produce  was  the  famous  Market  Bill 
introduced by Chaudhary Charan Singh. 
 
 
3.  1st  July  celebrated  as  Agriculture  day  Mainly  in 
Maharashtra . 
The  celebrated  in  remembrance  of  father  of  the  green 
revolution of Maharashtra - Vasantrao Naik. 
 
Vasantrao  Naik  was  an  Indian  politician  who  served  as

4.  15th  October  is  celebrated  as  National  Women  Farmer’s 
Day or Rashtriya Mahila Kisan Diwas’ in India.   
 
Central  Institute  for  Women  in  Agriculture,  Bhubaneswar 
Odisha  has  been  established  for  women  agriculturalists  by 
Indian Council for Agricultural Research. 
 
Central  Institute  for  Women  in  Agriculture  (CIWA) 
established in April 1996 . 
 
 
5. World Milk Day is celebrated on june 1st each year . 
World  milk  day  established  by  the  Food  and  Agriculture 
Organization  of  the  United  Nations  to  recognize  the 
importance  of  milk  as  a  global  food.  It  has  been  observed 
on June 1 each year since 2001. 
 
The  theme  for  World  Milk Day 2019 in India is "Drink Milk: 
Today & Everyday". 
 
6.  The  National  Milk  Day  (NMD)  observed  on 26 November 
Every  since  2014  to  mark  birth  anniversary  of  Dr.Verghese 
Kurien, father of the White Revolution in India since 2014.  
 
The  first  NMD  National  milk  day  was  observed  on  26 
November  2014  by  all  Indian  dairy  sector  majors  including 
National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).

7.  5th  June  Celebrated  as  World  Environment  Day  (WED) 
Every Year . 
 
"WED"  First  Time  Observed  in  1974  with  the  theme  "  Only 
One Earth" 
 
The  theme  for  2019  World  Environment  Day  (WED)  "Air 
Pollution " The host Nation is China.  
 
8.  World  Egg  Day  is  celebrated  around  the  world  On  the 
second Friday in October each Year Since 1996.  
India's rank 5th in the production of egg.  
 
In India andhra Pradesh rank first in egg production  
 
9.International  Day  of  Forests  observed  on  March  21st 
Every Year. 
 
International  Day  of  Forests was observed for the first time 
on March 21, 2013. 
 
The  theme  of  International  Day  of  Forests  2019  Was 
‘Forests and Education’. 
 
10.  World  Soil  Day  is  celebrated  annually  on  the  5th  of 
December.

14.  World  Water  day  Observed  annually on 22th March .The 
first  World  Water  Day,  designated  by  the  United  Nations, 
was in 1993.

behind'

15.  World  Meteorological  Day  takes  place  every  year  on  23 
March . 
 
Since  1961,  the  World  Meteorological  Organization  has 
been celebrating World Meteorological Day. 
 
The  theme  of  world  meteorological  day  2019  Was  “The 
Sun, the Earth and the weather” 
 
IMD  Indian  Meteorological department is headquartered in 
Delhi  and  operates  hundreds of observation stations across 
India  .Regional  offices  are  at Mumbai, Kolkata, Nagpur and 
Pune. IMD founded in 1875. 
 
 
16.  World  Veterinary  Day  observed  every  year  on  the  last 
Saturday of April month since April 2001. 
 
The  theme  of  World  veterinary  day  in  the  year  2019  Was- 
"Value of Vaccination" 
 
World  Veterinary  Day  was  created  in  2000  by  the  World 
Veterinary Association. 
 
17.  Every  year  2nd  September  is  celebrated  as  World 
Coconut  Day  to  commemorate  the  formation  day  of  Asian 
Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) .

APCC  is  an  inter-governmental  organisation  of  18  member 
countries  mandated to promote, coordinate and harmonize

is one of the founder members of APCC. 
 
18.  National  Panchayati  Raj  Day  in  India  is  celebrated  by 
Ministry of Panchayati Raj on 24 April annually.  
 
the first National Panchayati Raj Day on 24 April 2010. 
 
Rajasthan  was  the  first  state  in  the  country  where 
Panchayati Raj system was implemented. 
 
19.  The  World  Fisheries  Day  is  celebrated  every  year  on 
November 21 throughout the world. 
 
India's  rank  3rd  in  the  fish  among  all  fish  producing 
countries . 
 
20  .National  fish  farmers  day  celebrated  on  10th  july  every 
year  by  ICAR  .  The  day  is  commemorated  in  remembrance 
of  scientists  Dr  K  H  Alikunhi  and  Dr.  H.L.  Chaudhury  who 
had  invented  induced  breeding  technology  on  this  day  way 
back in 1957.

21.  The  first  Ever  world  pulces  day  (WPD)  celebrated  on 
10th February by FAO 2016.  
 
FAO  declared  year  2016  as  international  year  of  pulses 
(IYP) .  
India is the largest producer of pulses in the World. 
  
 
22.  International  Day  of  Rural  Women  Was  observed  on  15 
October Every Year . 
 
The  first  International  Day  of  Rural  Women  was  observed 
on  15  October  2008.  This  new  international  day, 
established by the General Assembly in 2007.  
 
International  Day  of  Rural  Women  Was  observed  to 
recognizes  “the  critical  role  and  contribution  of  rural 
women,  including  indigenous  women,  in  enhancing 
agricultural  and  rural  development,  improving  food 
security and eradicating rural poverty.

for  Laboratory  Animals  observed  on  24  April  and  World 
Wildlife Day on 3 March. 
 
24.  International  Tea  Day  is  observed  Every  year  on 
December  15.  International  tea  day  celebrated  since  2005 
by  tea  producing  Countries  like  China,  India,  Sri  Lanka, 
Japan, Russia and the UK. 
 
India is world’s second largest tea producer after China. 
 
 
25.  International  day  for  biological  diversity  (IBD) 
observed on May 22. 
 
In  December  2000,  the  UN  General  Assembly  adopted  22 
May as IDB.
