The muscular system is one of the major systems in our body. Its main purpose is
to produce movement. Muscles help us to move our body parts.
The skeleton and the muscles which move it are known as the musculoskeletal
system.
There are over 650 muscles in the human body. They are under our skin and cover
our bones.
Some muscles of the human body are:
Muscles of the head: (Samuel) 5 Muscles
Muscle structure
Muscles are made of many muscle cells. The cells contract together to make the
muscle get shorter.
Tendons and Fanscia work toguether with the muscle, wich créate the muscular
system necessary for movement.
Tendons:
Attach a muscle to a bone.
Fascia:
Attach muscle to muscle.
3 Types of muscles
All muscles move either Voluntary or Involuntary.
1. Cardic Muscle: (Involuntary)
The muscle of the heart, is Involuntary.
These muscles form the walls of the heart
Contracts to circulate the blood.
2. Viceral / Smooth Muscles: (Involuntary)
Found in organs or organ system such as the digestive or respiratory system.
