Why reject the belief of possession by Jinn?

Sahih Hadeeths confirms the belief that Jinn cannot possess men. Firstly,
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had stated that whenever a Momin is hurt or is
sick and unwell, even so if only a thorn cuts him, his sins are reduced for the
pain inflicted on him.
Also, there is a hadeeth of Abu Daaud bin Maaja and Nissai according to which
no sins are noted for a person unless he is in his sense.
When Shaitaan refused to bow to Prophet Adam (PBUH), he invited the wrath
of Almighty Allah and said that he will make all the sons and daughters of
Prophet Adam commit sin and crime and take them to hell along with himself.
Since that day, Shaitaan has been working on this mission to destroy the
Muslims and get them on the wrong path towards hell and works tirelessly to
make us commit sin so that we end up in hellfire. Then why would Shaitaan
make a person sick or ill, as that would only result in that person’s sins being
reduced as per Sahih Hadeeth!!! Why would Shaitaan drive someone crazy and
mad as a mad person’s sin is not recorded and that would mean he will not be
committing any sin till he gets back to his sense. So if Shaitaan drives someone
mad or make him sick, that would mean that he would be himself sabotaging
his one single mission of driving us to hell which he obviously would not want.
He would in fact want the opposite – that we are in our good health and sense
so that he can misguide us and make us commit sin in all our sense and health
as that will be the crime which will make us hell bound.
We should all agree and realise that Jinn and Shaitaan cannot possess men or
make them sick. All the people who are presumed to be possessed by Jinns are
actually mental patients who need proper medical care by experts in the
medical field. These jhaad phoonk will not cure them and will only make us
commit shirk and biddah.
Possession by Jinn is neither proved by the Glorious Quran nor by the Sahih
Hadeeths and medical science does not agrees to it either.
