The topology parameterization is the source of many system services

ƒ data flow control

ƒ time synchronization
ƒ error handling
ƒ remote parameterization

Therefore, the topology parameters are the most important parameters in

the system.

ƒ Further parameters can be superimposed via context menus. The most

important ones are:

ƒ RQID: necessary if a data point has redundant entry points

in the AU. May also be internal (e.g.: a FUD):

ƒ error message: send / do not send / automatic depending on

data flow direction

ƒ clock sync: send only / receive only / block / automatic

ƒ counter interrogation: send / do not send / automatic acc. to CAASDU
