PHARMACY RESIDENCY PROGRAM CLASS OF 2016
POST GRADUATE YEAR ONE (PGY‐1)
Rebecca (Becca) Campbell, PharmD, University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and
Pharmaceutical Sciences
I grew up in Albany, N.Y. and spent my undergraduate years at SUNY Buffalo. There, I
completed two degrees: a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Psychology. In my free time I enjoy
traveling, being outside, watching movies, trying new restaurants, going to concerts, and
reading. I’m so excited to continue my pharmacy career as a resident at the Brooklyn Hospital
Center! Coming with me from Buffalo are my two cats and chinchilla.
Victor Chen, PharmD, Touro College of Pharmacy, New York
I was born and raised in New York and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Stony
Brook University. My favorite things to do are snowboarding, tennis, hiking, and exploring new
food places. I am excited to join the Brooklyn Hospital Center as a PGY‐1 resident and am
looking forward to working with everyone!
Joseph Galipean, PharmD, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University
I was born and raised in central New Jersey and look forward to moving to the big city. I enjoy
exploring new places, trying new food, and anything that is fun and out of the ordinary. I am
very excited to start the next chapter of my life as a resident at The Brooklyn Hospital Center
and I can't wait to face all the new challenges ahead of me. I hope to have a fun and rewarding
year with my co‐residents.
Diana Gritsenko, PharmD, St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences,
Queens, NY
Between work and school, it can be hard to find free time, but when I finally do, I like to explore
NYC with my friends. You can also find me at the gym or, more likely, curled up on my couch
reading or catching up on all of the shows that I have missed. I am very excited to start my PGY‐
1 residency and I hope to help foster a family dynamic with my fellow co‐residents. I look
forward to meeting and getting to know each of you!
Sam Simon, PharmD, The University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy
I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico but have lived in larger cities including NYC for short
periods of time. I enjoy listening to music, going to shows, playing soccer, and eating many
different kinds of food. Moving to Brooklyn for the next year is like a dream come true for me. I
am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of The Brooklyn Hospital Center and look forward
to the many challenges ahead.
