8 Ability
Can, to be able to, to be capable of + gerund

We normally use can with the base form of the verb to say that. Or ask if, someone or
something has the ability to do something.

This photocopier can produce 100 copies per minute.

We also use can to say we have the chance or opportunity to do something. For this meaning
of can, we often use a conditional sentence with if or when.

When you are in London, you can go shopping in Oxford Street.

can.
