Background
Indonesia is an agrarian country with abundant wealth from agricultural sector and most of the population works
as farmers. But with the inclusion of horticultural products that have been planted in local area, indirectly
undermine the selling power of local products. It makes the government open the eyes and issued restrictions on
imported horticultural products.
Imported horticultural products have been restricted by the government, through Lartas (restriction) and RIPH
rules. RIPH has been built to consider and encourage domestic horticulture production, indeed to cultivate
Indonesia horticulture.
From the cultivation will emerge a good economic equality for farmers, so they can get the feasibility, education
and confidence in the processing of land. This makes the industry to support local horticultural product with using
local fruit that already exist in Indonesia.
Except to revive local horticulture product, the Government want to advanced village which left behind. With the
support from Rural Development Minister, by contributing as a local fruit processing house and channeling to
B2B.
Food loss means food which isn’t delivered into consumer. It caused by abundant yield of crop, no mid-stream
processor which transform food loss into innovate product.
Kimia Farma envision to apply Inclusive Business Model to solve food loss, reducing poverty through mid-stream
investment facility by M&A.
