ESSAY WRITING CONTEST

Contest: July 2, 2019 (Monday)


Venue: Schools Cyberlab
Time: 10:30-11:30 A.M

MECHANICS
 Students will use an intermediate pad in writing their thoughts/ideas.
 They must be willing and interested to express themselves and share their insights and opinions
about the Nutrition Month theme
The essay must be composed of a 500-word.
 The allotted is one hour

DIGITAL POSTER MAKING CONTEST

Contest: July 3, 2019 (Monday)


Venue: Schools Cyberlab

MECHANICS
 Each section must have one (1) representative/participant.
 The participant must use Adobe Photoshop.
 They will create an E- Poster that represents the “Nutrition Months Theme: “Kumain nang wasto
at maging aktibo… push natin ‘to!” (Eat healthy and do physical activity … let’s push this!)

MECHANICS
 Students must bring the following materials: 1/8 size illustration board and any coloring
materials (e.g. crayons, colored pencils, oil pastel).
 Students are not allowed to use markers.
 They will create a Poster that represents the “Nutrition Months Theme: “Kumain nang wasto at
maging aktibo… push natin ‘to!” (Eat healthy and do physical activity … let’s push this!)

SLOGAN MAKING CONTEST

MECHANICS
• It is open to all students.
• Slogan must consist of 30 characters only. It can be Tag-lish.
• The participant will think of a catchy phrase to raise the awareness of other students or peoples
knowledge on consumption of healthy diets.
• Student must bring the following: 1/8 size illustration board, markers, highlighters and stationery
materials to create their slogan.

NUTRI-FASHIONISTA 2019
1. Parade (OPENING) [ 6:30 AM of July 1, 2019]
a. The Representatives of each class will wear a headdress.
b. Bring your banner (each section)
c. Wear T-Shirt (your grade level shirt color.) and jeans.
NOTE: All students must still wear uniforms before entering the school premises and will
change clothes before the parade.

2. Eliminations [Friday, July 19, 2019 (12:00-4:00 P.M.)


Where: Auditorium
When: July 19, 2019 (Friday)
What: Elimination for the Finalist of Nutri-Fashionista
Prepare: NUTRI-Costume
3. Signature Campaign [July 5, 2019 – July 17, 2019]
What to do:
a. Each finalist will be running a signature campaign which is ninety-nine centavos (0.99) per
signature to take part with the Nutri-Fashionista’s Criteria included in the Fashion Show’s
Criteria taking 30% of the representatives score competing for the Nutri-Fashionista 2019.
Elimination will be on July 19, 2019, 2:00-4:00 PM at the School Auditorium. Eliminated
contestants will receive 10% of their remitted money.
b. For those constant who will win from Nutri-Fashion Show Elimination will continue their
journey in Nutri-Fashion Show Finals, they will start running a Photo liking contest in Facebook.
This will run from July 19, 2019 until July 24, 2019.
c. July 26, 2019, 2:00-4:00 P.M Nutri-Fashion Show Finals. First Place will receive 25% of his/her
remitted money, Second Place will receive 20% of his/her remitted money and the Third Place
will receive 15% of her remitted money. Other contestant will also receive 10% of their money.

4. Facebook Campaign [July 19 to July 23]


a. Starting from July 19, 2019 the entry photos will be posted in the TLE-ICT Club Page.
b. Invite your friends and/or family to LIKE and/or SHARE your photos
c. Promote TLE-ICT Club Page (Nutri-Fashionista 2019)
d. Deadline of Photo liking contest will be on July 24, 2019, 9:00 PM.

5. Nutri-Fashionista Fashion Show [July 26, 2019]


Venue: Auditorium [12PM]
a. Representatives must wear their attire/dresses with the highlight of their chosen
vegetable/fruit category.
b. Bring their chosen vegetable/fruit as they walk in the runway.
c. The participants will help raise awareness of other students or people’s knowledge on the
importance of eating the right fruits and vegetable
d. Wear light/heavy or with no makeup with your choice. The attire should highlight your
representation.

IV. GUIDELINES (NUTRI-FASHIONISTA ATTIRE)


 Materials used in the construction of garments MUST be recyclable and MUST serve as a
representation of your chosen vegetable/fruit category. Designers may use materials for
construction such as glue, tape, dyes, market, stapes, thread, zippers, elastic wire, string, velcro,
laces, starch, paint, etc.
 Recycled fabric may only be used as a lining/base that doesn’t show. The usage of new material
should not overpower your total garment and it must represent the vegetable/fruit assigned.
Footwear made from recyclable material is preferred; however, slippers are acceptable. Shoes
must be safe to walk on.
 Garments must be constructed well enough to fit the model and hold together for the stage show.
(Models are strongly encouraged to wear comfortable clothes underneath recycled garment).
 Originality and creativity are encouraged.
 Nutri-Fashion Attire must be made of reused materials that otherwise would be thrown away or
recycled.
 Please make sure that materials used in fashion pieces are safe to yourself and the public.

Means to Attach Materials:


We encourage the use of environmentally-friendly glues, dyes, paints, resins, etc. and advise
contestants to be mindful of the weight of materials being used in the finished product.
Suggested items include:
 Hot glue gun or crazy glue
 Machine or hand sewing
 Packing or duct tape
 Safety pins or stapes
 Weaving, braiding, lacing, crocheting or knitting materials
 Paper clips or rubber bands
 Natural adhesives – rice, flour with water mixture or milk/vinegar/baking soda mixture
