ACTIVITY # 5
CIRCUIT DESIGN

I. Design Objective
Problem No. 1:
Design a circuit with a total equivalent resistance of 2520 ohms, using only 3 resistors, in
which the value of one of the 3 resitors should be 6.8 K Ω. Use the available resistance values
only.

Problem No. 2:
Design a circuit with a total equivalent resistance of 4 K ohms, using only 4 resistors, in which
the value of two of the 4 resitors should be 6.8 K Ω and 4.7 K Ω. Use the available resistance
values only.

Problem No.3:
Design a circuit with a total equivalent resistance of 1920 ohms, using only 4 resistors, in
which the value of two of the 4 resitors should be 1.5 K Ω and 3.3 K Ω. Use the available
resistance values only.

Problem No.4:
Design a circuit with a total equivalent resistance of 1500 ohms, using only 4 resistors, in
which the value of two of the 4 resitors should be 6.8 K Ω and 330 Ω. Use the available
resistance values only.

II. Design Concept

A. Design Rationale
 Series-Parallel Circuit
- A series-parallel circuit is composed of parts composed of series-coected
and parallel-connected components. In adition, once the components were
already determined then selectively applies the rules for series and parallel
circuit.
