REFLECTION ON POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY EXERCISES

Below are the reflections and analysis of the Positive Psychology exercises. I have utilized these
exercises in my Positive Psychology class.

MODULE 1: COACHING HAPPINESS


Coaching Exercise
The Happiness Scale – Form

The coaching exercise is very nice for it sets the tune of my perseverance to finish
this coaching certification.

There are relatively few individuals in this world who really know how to truly be
happy; they even do not know what happiness really is. I have administered the happiness
scale form to those people under my care. Through the happiness scale, my students w ere
able to get an overview of their own happiness. Awareness of own happiness is very
important for everybody wants happiness. Each individual in this world would want to enjoy
life the fullest.

MODULE 2: COACHING STRENGTH


Strength Use Scale
Positivity Ratio
Rewrite your story

Being able to know your strengths will help you keep pushing your dreams and
ambitions in life, you will be able to be motivated even if things do not go well. Using the
strength use scale, my clients are able to know what their strengths are. This is a scale that
helped them to know what needs to be developed. I really liked the scale for it is very
helpful to people who believe that they have no strengths.
Being positive is an experience that we need to have. The positivity ratio is very
important in determining if your positive emotions outweigh the negative ones. When I
personally used this scale, I was able to recognize what I need to do in order for me to be
someone I want to be. This really helped me to recognize the emotions that I presently have.

Bringing back all the happy memories helped me realized that life is so beautiful and
that life should be enjoyed. Worrying is part of our life but this should destroy the happiness
we all deserved. The form about rewriting your happiness helped me to remember all the
happy moments in my life which helped me reduce the stresses that I presently have.

MODULE 3: OPTIMISM
Sentence Completion
Learned Optimism Test

The sentence completion exercise helps me to process all the positive things in my
mind. This is an exercise that is really helpful for those who seem do not understand their
life and do not have a perspective. In line with this, I have recommended this exercise to
those people I always dealt with and their reactions are truly great for they were able to
smile and realize their own happiness.

Optimism is a construct that is somehow hard to understand. The test on learned


optimism made it clear. This helped to realize how important having an optimistic attitude. I
have recommended this to my students.

MODULE 4: GOALS
Goals Motivator
Active Constructive Responding

Having clear goals will help us be motivated as well as guided. Goals motivator
exercise helped my students and me to know what motivates my goals and how should I
make reasonable ways to reach those goals. Life is awesome and goals are important for us
to feel that awesomeness.
Being able to use the active constructive responding exercise led me to the
realization of how beautiful life is.

MODULE 5: RELATIONSHIPS
Two Most Important Relationships
These are the wonderful exercise I have done which really helped me to improved
my relationships with others. This is something that I really wanted to recommend to other
people so that they would experience a really wonderful experience.

Mindfulness Awareness of Pleasant Events – Form
Mindfulness Savoring Reflections and Experience -
Creating Mindfulness Habits

All of us wanted to be happy but only few individuals know that mindfulness is truly
a wonderful form of exercises that have been proven by researches and clinical practices to
be of great help to the wellbeing of the individual. I am really happy that these forms are
available for I have utilized this in my practice and class. Being mindful is something that
people need to realize for it will surely help us to be able to enjoy and savor what is best
about life. Just pausing for a moment, appreciating the wonderful gift of life, will surely
help us to be better individuals. These tools here, had encouraged me to be mindful in every
circumstance and every complexity about life. Thus, I have recommended this to my clients
and students.

MODULE 7: GRATITUDE
The Gratitude Jar
Three Good Things

Gratitude is something that we need to have. It is not only good to see or hear but it
helps our thinking to be okay. It helps us to be a human and helps us to be better individuals
appreciating life despite the negatives attached to it. The gratitude jar is one good exercise
that I really recommend for this is something that few people do, being thankful it might be
because of their busyness and confusions about life. the three good things activity is
something that I always do every night, this is something that I really am thankful to have. I
have recommended this activity to my students, friends and clients and the result was
astounding, they were able to realize the blessings they have and able to be thank ful in
every circumstance.
