Part Name Figure Method of Repair

Removing and
repairing the
motor at the 1. Unfasten the two (2) screws that hold the back
back of the unit cover in place. Remove the back cover by sliding it
down. (When assembling, slide the back cover up.)

2. After removing the back cover, unfasten the M19

nut that holds the motor in place.
(Caution: Turn the nut counterclockwise to unfasten
it. You have to turn it with a quick ‘twist’ because
turning it slowly turns the motor at the same time
and makes it difficult to loosen the nut.)

Do not try to unfasten the nut by inserting a screw

driver into the motor. This may cause a motor
malfunction.
3. Remove the M19 nut washer and then remove the
rotor. (Pulling out the rotor requires some force
and is pulled out suddenly rather than slowly. Be
careful, as the stator when pulled out, may cause
damage to the corners of the frame, or injury
to your hands or arms.) Disconnect the wires
connected to the motor.

To remove the connector, press the navel of the

housing and pull it towards the inside.

4. Remove the motor wire and hall sensor while

holding down the navel of the housing.

Be cautious when handling as the hall sensor is

susceptible to shock.

5. Unfasten the six (6) M10 screws.  Remove the

assy bracket motor.  Remove the stator.

When unfastening the last one of the six (6)

screws, hold the stator by hand to prevent it from
falling due to its weight.
MOTOR
WIRE CHECK-POINT

1) Check whether there are any foreign substances

between the rotor and the stator.
HALL 2) Check whether the motor power wires (blue, while,
SENSOR red) are connected correctly.
3) Check whether the hall sensor wire is connected
correctly.

Connect the motor power wires in the order blue,

white and red, starting from the furthest right.
Check whether each voltage between blue and
white, white and red, red and blue is 15 Ω.

1. Unfasten the two (2) screws that hold the back

cover in place.
- Remove the back cover.

2. Remove the connecting wire.

- Remove the thermostat which is fixed at the
bottom of the tub.
(Be careful as there may be water remaining.)
You MUST remove the thermostat BEFORE
removing the heater. If you remove or assemble
in the reverse order, the thermostat may receive a
shock and become damaged.

the back of the (Rather than unfasten it completely, loosen the
unit nut that holds the heater in place to the end.
After loosening it, pull the heater towards the
front. However, a shock to the heater may cause
a malfunction. Therefore, do not use pincers or
nippers. Pull it out with your hands swinging a
little.)

4. Remove the heater from the tub.

Assembling Precautions
Make sure to correctly position the heater onto
the bracket inside the tub. Incorrect positioning
may cause fire. When assembling, fully insert the
heater until the packing is completely engaged
inside the tub so that the packing adheres
completely to the tub.
thermistor
CHECK-POINT

1) Check whether the resistance of the heater is 27.1

Ω for the 1900W unit, and 26.2 Ω for the 2000W
Thermistor unit.

2) Check whether the resistance of the thermister is

12k Ω (at room temperature).

CHECK-POINT

1) Check whether there is any error in applying the

power.

2) Check the voltage between the DC 5V and GND

terminals. KΩ

3) If an error occurs when there is no characteristic

error in the electric harnesses, check these points:
3E error: The resistance of motor(U-V/V-W/W-U) is
15 Ω
HE/HE1 error: The resistance of heater(for 1900W
unit) is 27 Ω
DE1 error: The resistance of door switch is 140 to
145 Ω
HE/HE1 error: The resistance of thermostat is 0 Ω
5E error: The resistance of drain motor is 400 Ω
4E error: The resistance of water valve is 4.4 kΩ

Part Name Figure Method of Repair

 When t e door lock is released normally:

1. If the door lock is activated, the door lock is

released when the Stop&Add button is pressed
and water is drained below the safety level.

2. Turn on the unit and perform a spin to drain water

only, which will release the door lock.

Release of door
lock

 When the unit does not turn on due to a power

failure or another fault:

1. Remove the front cover at the bottom of the unit.

2. Pull the manual lever out to release the door lock.

If normal operation is possible, use the Spin course to

drain the remaining water from the tub.
