THE COMPANY

ElasticRun is a technology driven aggregated distribution network. It is designed on the principal of


variable capacity. Using its technology, ElasticRun aggregates spare transportation and logistics
capacities from large number of dispersed entrepreneurs. Through these shared resources, it operates a
virtual distribution network for its customers from the point of manufacturing till the point of
consumption. Some of the offerings by ElasticRun are last mile connectivity, secondary distribution
and primary distribution.

ElasticRun helps its customers by providing them instant access to the highly scalable national
distribution network at variable cost. It caters to industries across the board, including pharmaceutical,
online retail, food products, automotive and hospitality sectors.

Technology driven aggregated distribution network

ElasticRun platform aggregates transportation and distribution services from large number of
dispersed entrepreneurs on its network. Using its technology and operational excellence, ElasticRun
has delivered superior service levels compared to large transporters and distributors at a significantly
lower cost

Why ElasticRun

Logistics and distribution infrastructure in India is at nascent stage. The capacity in this sector is
primarily unorganized with no technology deployments until recently. Introduction of GST, advent of
ecommerce and modernization the retail sector has expedited the need for multiple technology
interventions in the sector. The same is reflected in the significant VC investments in this domain in
last few years.

Within the new age logistics tech cohort, ElasticsRun is one of the most promising ventures. It is lead
by professionals who have built large scale logistics organizations and built transportation technology
products for global scale. Beyond the founders, the top leadership of the company comes with national
leadership experience from top notch organizations such as Amazon, DHL, Gati etc. Apart from this,
the senior leadership of the company is from the pedigree institutions of India, with high concentration
from IIMA. ElasticRun is backed by two premium VCs. Investors have shown their faith in the
company by consistent repeat investments over the years.

Founding Team

Sandeep Deshmukh - CEO & Co-Founder

An IIM Ahmedabad post graduate, Sandeep Deshmukh is the Co-Founder and CEO at ElasticRun.
Prior to launching ElasticRun, Sandeep was with Amazon. As part of the Amazon India pioneer team,
Sandeep has built several transportation products for Indian market and lead the national operations.
In the earlier years, Sandeep has been a software engineer with Infosys, DHL and Apple.

Saurabh Nigam - COO & Co-Founder

Saurabh, a B.Tech graduate from Delhi College of Engineering, is the Co-Founder and Chief
Operating Officer at ElasticRun. He was a part of founding team at EdgeVerve, An Infosys product
company. As Associate Partner at EdgeVerve, he headed professional services globally for a flagship
product Suite. Saurabh started as a software engineer with Infosys and DHL and further worked
across Supply Chain and Distribution in industries.

Shitiz Bansal – CTO & Co-Founder

An IIT BHU alumnus, Shitiz is the co-founder and CTO at ElasticRun. Before ElasticRun, he worked
at EdgeVerve, An Infosys product company, as a key technology leader. During his stint with DHL,
Shitiz has built several highly scalable global transportation technology products. Shitiz brings to the
table the unique experience of launching tech products at concept levels and to scale them to global
levels.

THE POSITION

Position Regional Sales Head

Location Pune

Reporting to VP Sales and Distribution

Background to The individual will have primary day-to-day responsibility for increasing coverage
the role in his/her region by working building a network of partners for distribution of
FMCG products and commodity in semi urban and rural areas. The individual is
expected to build the sales team and structure and be responsible for revenues in
his/her region.

The individual is expected to lead and manage a large distributed team which
would be responsible for building a distribution network for supply FMCG goods
and commodities to retailers in semi urban and rural space.

The individual will be a part of the key leadership team responsible for building
the sales and distribution network.

Key • Own the revenue responsibilities for their region.


Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the Sales team for achievement of increase in distribution
and reach as per annual business plan
• Build a network of partners to supply FMCG goods and commodities to retail
stores in his/her region in both rural and semi urban areas.
• Build, lead and manage a large distributed workforce for their region.
• Lead the sales team and assign the sales and distribution targets
Geographically, Monthly, Weekly & Daily.
• Conduct Periodic review on the Progress of Business, Weekly, Monthly,
Quarterly, and on Yearly basis

THE PERSON

Qualifications Post graduate with 15+ years of professional experience

• Strong experience of mass distribution is critical.


• Should have the experience of increasing pan India coverage and adding new
outlets
• Experience of leading and managing large teams spread across the country
Skill set • Must have the aptitude to work in a fast-paced organization with active
listening, negotiation, facilitation, and reasoning skills.
• Proven leadership capability to leading, managing and grooming teams
• Proven ability to lead in a collaborative manner
• Great team player, have sound leadership skills, hands-on approach with the
ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tasks
