The good Samaritan is willing to care even at
the cost to himself. He takes the risk of being

victimized, gives his time and his money, and
defies social customs to do so. Mercy does not
offer love that is not convenient or easy. It
offers loving care when it is unconventional
or even costly.

Hall in Honey Harbour every Tuesday until October. Door opens @ 6:00 P.M. and
games start @ 6:30 P.M. Volunteers are urgently needed. Any help you can

Mass Intention – “As Catholics, we have a long tradition of having Masses
celebrated to whom we wish to offer up in prayer. The Mass is the ultimate form
of prayer, and each Mass is offered for an intention. Please consider having Mass
celebrated for family and friends on special occasions and anniversaries, as well as
those who are in need of special prayers. Masses are also encouraged in memory
of those loved ones who have died, especially on the anniversaries of their
death.”

Catechism of the Catholic Church (Faith)
. The Freedom of Faith 160- “To be human, man's response to God by faith must be free;
nobody is to be forced to embrace the faith against his will. The act of faith is of its very nature
a free act. God calls men to serve him in spirit and in truth. Consequently they are bound to
him in conscience, but not coerced.”
. The Necessity of Faith 161 – “Believing in Jesus Christ and in the One who sent him for our
salvation is necessary for obtaining that salvation. Without faith no one has ever attained
justification, nor will anyone obtain eternal life 'But he who endures to the end.”
. Perseverance in Faith 162- “Faith is an entirely free gift that God makes to man. We can
lose this priceless gift, as St. Paul indicated to St. Timothy: ‘Wage the good warfare, holding
faith and a good conscience. By rejecting conscience, certain persons have made shipwreck of
their faith.’ To live, grow and persevere in the faith until the end we must nourish it with the
word of God; we must beg the Lord to increase our faith; it must be working through charity,
abounding in hope, and rooted in the faith of the Church.”
. Faith - the Beginning of Eternal Life 163 – “Faith makes us taste in advance the light of
the beatific vision, the goal of our journey here below: when we contemplate the blessings of
faith even now, as if gazing at a reflection in a mirror, it is as if we already possessed the
wonderful things which our faith assures us we shall one day enjoy.”
Pope’s Prayer Intention for July – “That those who administer justice may
work with integrity, and that the injustice which prevails in the world may not have the last
word.”
St. Mary Magdalene (July 22) “St. Mary Magdalene is one of the greatest
saints of the Bible and a legendary example of God's mercy and grace. The Gospels
agree that Mary was originally a great sinner. But what she did in her subsequent life,
after meeting Jesus, is much more significant. She was certainly a sinner whom Jesus
saved, giving us an example of how no person is beyond the saving grace of God.
During Jesus' ministry, it is believed that Mary Magdalene followed him, part of a
semi-permanent entourage who served Jesus and his Disciples. Mary likely watched
the crucifixion along with the other women who followed Christ during his ministry.
Mary was present when Christ rose from the dead, visiting his tomb to anoint his
body only to find the stone rolled away and Christ, very much alive, sitting at the
place they laid him. She was the first witness to his resurrection. St. Mary
Magdalene's feast day is July 22. She is the patroness of converts, repentant sinners,
sexual temptation, pharmacists, tanners and women, and many other places and
causes.”
