II. SYLLABUS :
1) SEA SURVIVAL & OFFSHORE EMERGENCY PROCEDURE
Course Objective :
To provide participants with knowledge and skill in the event of
an emergency situation in the offshore with the right safety
procedures and using emergency equipments

Course Content :
On completion, participants expected to be able to
demonstrate competences in the theory and application
of the following:
- Introduction of basic sea survival and emergency
offshore procedure
- Training objectives and goals
- Emergency situation
- Signal alarm
- The Principe’s of sea survival
- Survive mentality
- Threatening of sea survival
- Survival technique in the open water
- Help position, Hypothermia
- How to survive in the open water
- Survival kits and safety equipments
- Life jackets, types, characteristic, procedures, how
to use and how to maintain
- Type of safety boats, characteristic and how to work
- Life raft
- Types, characteristic, equipment, management,
procedures, how to work
- Safe rescue procedures
- Practical in the water & Assessment
2) HUET & SEA SURVIVAL

Course Objective :

To provide passengers and aircrew with necessary

understanding, skills necessary, to react to, survive a
helicopter ditching and to care for themselves in a sea
survival situation

Course Content :

On completion, participants expected to be able to

demonstrate competences in the theory and application of
the following:

- Surfaces Abandonment - Pre ditching checks

- Ditching – aircraft capsize - Lifejacket
- Life rafts - EPIRB / ELT’s
- Safe use of pyrotechnics - Recovery
- Helicopter Safety
- Practical
- Assessment

3) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT & FIRE FIGHTING

Course Objective:

BASIC FIRE FIGHTING: Introducing basic principle of fire,

behaviour of fire, fire classification and fire extinguishment theory.
At the end of the training, all participants have understanding
about fire and its behaviour and can conduct a correct
extinguishment action on the first phase of fire.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT: To provide participants with basic first aid

knowledge and skills to support life in an emergency situation, until
qualified assistance is available
Course Content:

On completion, participants will be able to demonstrate a

competence in the theory and practice of the following:

BFF: - Legal Aspect BFA: - Introduction

- Chemistry of Fire - Expired Air Resuscitation (EAR)
- Classification of Fire - Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
- Fire Fighting Technique - Control of Bledding
- Practical Session
- Management of conscious casualties
- Management of unconscious casualties
- Management of shock
- Practical

4) T-BOSIET
( Tropical-Basic Offshore Safety, Induction & Emergency Training )

Consist of Basic Life Support, Basic Fire Fighting, HUET & Sea
Survival

Course Objective :
To provide participants with survival and emergency
training in order to prepare them for an emergency in an
offshore environment.
Day 1 - Basic Life Support & Basic Fire Fighting
Day 2 - HUET & Sea Survival.

Course Content :
On completion, participants expected to be able to
demonstrate competences in the theory and application
of the following:
- Safety Induction
- Hazard of Over water operations
- Pre ditching drills
- Surface abandonment
- Underwater escape
- Sea Survival skills and techniques
- Basic Fire Fighting theory
- Practical uses of fire extinguishers, fire blanket, etc
- Basic Life Support – EAR, CPR, DR, ABC
 5) BASIC SAFETY TRAINING (BST)
Consist of Basic First Aid, Basic Fire Fighting, Sea Survival

Course Objective:
To provide participants with survival and emergency
training in order to prepare them for an emergency in an
offshore environment Basic First Aid, Basic Fire Fighting
& Sea Survival

Course Content:
- Safety Induction
