Position To support procurement activities such as Tanks (Both Site Fab and Shop Fab) for Takakuusetsu,
Purpose Hikuusetsu, Nagakuusetsu & Indian Projects.
He should be able to work independently and capable of fast decision making. He will be working
Dimensions
under minimum guidance of Senior Engineers/ Managers.
Principal
Accountabilities • Procurement engineering & Vendor management for Tanks

• Review of Customer specification & preparation of Deviation and clarification

• Preparation of Inquiry/Purchase specification
• Identification of salient features applicable for respective packages from Contract
Specification
• Preparation of Outline/Foundation drawings
• Bid evaluation, Selection of vendors and finalizing the contract.
Nature & Scope
• Review & Approval of Vendor drawings
• Vendor Management
• Internal co-ordination with various departments such as Civil, I&C, Electrical
• Participate in meetings with Customer & Vendor.
• Quick decision making & action to resolve Issues from Site.

Educational
• DME(Diploma in Mechanical Engg) /B.E (Mechanical Engg)
Qualification

• 5 – 10 years of experience in Tank design engineering, Vendor drawing

Experience review and vendor management for Power Plant (Combined Cycle/
Conventional) and FGD projects.

• Procurement engineering & Vendor management (specification

preparation, Tank design per API/AWWA/ASME Sec VIII/IS 803/ NFPA,
Person Profile bid evaluation, vendor design documents review/approval) for Tanks
• Well versed with Local regulations applicable to respective package based
on the location of the project. Awareness of Quality requirements
applicable during Testing & Inspection.
Specific Skills
• Well versed with API, AWWA, ASME, OSHA codes & Hazardous Area
Requirements.
• Exposure to International projects and experience in EPC companies shall
be considered as added advantage.
• Exposure FGD projects shall be considered as added advantage
