Methodology of Rectification
Upon inspection, we found out that the misalignment of the structural steel columns was
due to the significant cracks on the substructures creating permanent wide gaps. And as
observed, there is no movement occurred on the Roof Framing and Ceiling Framing of the
affected structures. One significant inherent characteristics of steel especially cold-formed steel,
is flexibility, in which it could sway due to lateral movements but would go back to its original
position. Since no buckling or deformation occurred on the steel columns, we will dismantle the
materials on the affected area. Then, realign the columns. After the realignment of the column,
we will provide cross braces on every other area/bays of the affected section. See the step by
step process of the rectification below.
1. Dismantling of the existing installed materials at the affected portion of the building
using bay by bay method. Materials to be dismantle are as follows:
A. Roofing Panels
B. Ceiling Panels an Insulations.
C. Roof Purlins
D. Ceiling Frames
E. Struts
F. Roof Beams
G. Insulated Walls

2. Realigning of the misaligned steel column. The columns will follow the displaced
position of the concrete pedestal. See the plan attached for details.

3. Reinstallation of the dismantled materials.
Note: Reinstallation of dismantled materials will start right after the rectification on the sub-
structure is finished.
NOTE: Rectification works will start seven (7) days after the approval of this proposed
methodology. Repairs will take 21-30 days.
