Overweight and obesity have been recognized as a global health problem.
The imbalance of dietary intake with
physical activity carried out leads to overweight. In a small group study conducted by researchers at the Calosa Fitness Center in Malang City, researchers found that many members were overweight and there were many influences that caused members to become overweight from the unbalanced energy and irregular eating patterns consumed. by member. This research was conducted at Center for Health Service Sports (PPKO) Malang by taking research subject member of woman overweight. The purpose of this study was to determine the diet and physical activity related to the incidence of excess weight that occurred in women members at the Sports Health Service Center (PPKO) Malang City. The research design in this study used descriptive research with a sample of 25 respondents (PPKO). The research instrument is a non-test instrument, which is the measurement of Body Mass Index (BMI) and questionnaire and there is an interview, which is then carried out data analysis starting with reviewing all data obtained through the results of the questionnaire. The results showed that members who were overweight with a pattern of consumption of staple foods almost all consumed rice as much as 20 members (80.00%). From the favorite side dish of 24 members (96.00%) like fried foods. Physical exercise activities carried out by members 3-5 times a week were 21 members (84.00%) and all exercised more than 30 minutes. The conclusion of this study from the results of the data obtained, it can be seen that the members of women in the Sports Health Service Center (PPKO) of Malang City who were overweight wanted an ideal body weight by doing physical activity but did not regulate their diet well
