SUMMARY:
I am a certified welding inspector by the American welding society. I have had over
seven years experience in, QA/QC engineering, In-service welding
engineering/inspection, Pipping and Structural (Piles,FLET, Buoyancy Tank & etc)
fabrications, NDT, quality management in various construction projects. I am
conversant with SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW welding processes. Good
understanding of Isometric drawings and P&IDs. I have a broad knowledge of
international inspection codes (ASME SEC. IX, ASMESEC., VIII DIV 1, ASME SEC
V, ASME B31.3,AWS D1.1, API 1104).My knowledge base, personal motivation,
diligence and intellectual attitude would assure my effectiveness in the position.

JOB SITE: Dodo River, Tunu Bayelsa state.
POSITION: QC Welding Inspector
DURATION: April 2018 Till Date
Responsibilities:
• Prepares and Qualify PQR and Record as run parameters during qualification.
• Supervision of quality control activities as it pertains to welding and piping, Structural
inspection both in yard and on site in compliance with WPS/Drawing and project
specification.
• Ensuring that materials specification, dimensions, joint preparation, fit-up & Welding
are as per approved procedure.
• Carry out welders Qualification Test.
• Prepare and Updates Welders register.

• Witness mechanical Testing (Destructive Testing).
• Follows strictly welding consumables storage and handling
Procedure.
• Ensures only qualified welders are used during fabrication.
• Check welding parameters, carry out visual examination on all completed welds.
• Carry out visual and dimensional checks of piping spools, equipment, skid and
onshore structures as per approved drawing.
• Raise NDT request on a welded joint as per specification.
• Review Radiographs before HSS & CWC takes place on a joint.
• Prepares welder’s repair rate log.
• Ensures only up to date calibrated welding machines, quivers etc. are in use.
• Prepares and updates Pipes reconciliation report Log after every tie in point.
• Witness Cad weld at the designated KP (Kilometer Point) on the line.
• Prepare Hydro-test Test packs.
• Raise safety and Quality anomaly when observed.
• Attend management weekly meetings to ensure compliance with the requirements
of our Clients.
