marketing with direction • designing with purpose

Overview:
The goal of this proposal is to update the current website presence for Chinook Scaffolding Systems and develop a
cohesive brand package for all marketing collateral. This proposal outlines the materials needed to be developed and
the time lines necessary. The Marco Polo Group (MPG) can also offer marketing materials, graphic design and printing
needs as well as video and multi-media needs. MPG has established wonderful relationships with Trade Only printers
across Canada and in various parts of the world, to secure the highest quality printing for our clients. Further, to aid
our clients we have developed a Print Buyers Club offering our clients DIRECT BUYING power with our suppliers
giving our clients the savings of buying their marketing materials at wholesale... saving them thousands.

Branding:
Without trying to be too critical at the commencement of this proposal, we feel it must be said that the current brand
communication on the website is too, “fishing charter” and not enough Scaffolding.

We quite like the chrome Chinook for a logo, yet a brand is more than a logo. It must capture the essence of the com-
pany, it’s culture and benefits to potential clients in all aspects of design, colours and emotional triggers within the
creative.

By offering a quality and cohesive brand identity that runs deeper than a surface logo development, Chinook Scaf-
folding will be better positioned to offer customers all the information, forms and scope of the work offered to assist
them in making the decision that there is only one number to call. We offer the development of a corporate package
that would include a presentation folder, brochures, and professional business cards for use in tradeshows attended
and general sales and promotions.

Tradeshows:
Chinook Scaffolding may be interested in exposure to the public through tradeshows or events, The Marco Polo
Group is prepared to assist with the development of Banners, Tradeshow Booths and Displays.
Videos:
The Time Of Online Video Is Here. Ten to fifteen years ago, video used to be very uncommon on the internet. Most
people had dial-up connections that couldn’t handle video. But now, video is becoming a standard for websites.

Video services are billed directly from the videographer to you, the client. This service is not marked up or brokered.
The price quoted is the price you pay. MPG is present, if possible, and coordinates the video shoot to ensure that the
production is in keeping with the established brand and the feel that we are trying to capture, with the end use in sight
at all times. Script writing will be needed prior to this work commencing (this is a billable service). We charge a nomi-
nal fee for our consultation and attendance for this event.

Our recent client Irvine Financial benefits tremendously from video testimonials on his site.
www.irvinefinancial.com

We recommend that careful archiving of events, activities and construction be done for future use in media kits,
websites and youtube channel.

Here is a link to an example of a time lapse house being built:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QcC0XEH6AY&feature=related

Interviews with the Office Managers are highly recommended. These Q&A format videos would be professionally shot
and would capture the philosophy of Chinook Scaffolding and its vision. It is important that visitors to the site get a
chance to hear directly from the owner and managers.

It is commonly known that when it comes to website content, ‘people don’t read’. The web has become more televi-
sion then newspaper. With the expansion of broadband connections the higher speed has allowed for more video
communications and including this into the format of the website is critical to retaining visitors to the site, informing
them, educating them and converting more of them into contacts and future clients.
Printing Services:
With over 40 years in the printing industry, the Hutzler family offers a full range of printing and marketing solutions. We
are most excited about our unique Print Buyers Club. A brochure with the pricing on some basic items can be found
at: http://www.scribd.com/doc/34791288/2010-Print-Buyers-Club-Single

Email Marketing:
Branded email communications are a popular way to touch base with your existing clients and a fabulous way to
make a great impression on new clients. An online service which is offered for free is Mad Mimi. With this service you
can upload your own branded images and jpegs, creating attractive emails which reflect your brand.

The site is very easy to use for scheduling campaigns, creating messages, tracking results, and tabulating statistics.

Professional Photography:
Whether you’re marketing hot dogs or automobiles, real estate or a convention featuring Tony Robbins, professional
photography can mean the difference in attendance or sales. We encourage an appointment with our selected
professional photographer who is both reasonable and exceptional for his eye on the details.

We are pleased to refer Dave Hamilton of Nanaimo.

Photography services are billed directly from the photographer to you the client. This service is not marked up or
brokered. The price quoted is the price you pay. MPG is present and coordinates the photoshoot to ensure that the
photos taken are in keeping with the established brand and the feel that we are trying to capture, with the end use in
sight at all times. We charge a nominal fee for our consultation and attendance for this event.
Website:
The immediate need is to develop a website and prepare the content more accurately, giving the customers an easy
site to navigate and find the information they desire. The first thing we would do is develop the website architecture.
The architecture would contain all the pages (rooms) that would comprise the content for the site. Once this is fully
discussed and agreed to the design phase begins.

Example site only:

Potential pages for site could be as follows:
CHINOOK
SCAFFOLDING

• Home Page
• About Us
• Locations - Contact Information
• Project Experience
• S.E.C. - Safety Education Centre
• FAQ’s
• Rentals
• Ventilation
• Scaffolding
• Sales Log-in
• Certification

We will require all the FTP information, usernames and passwords to access the current site.

A CMS System (Content Management System) will be installed within the site to allow Chinook Scaffolding Systems
the needed 24/7 access to pages, content insertion and edits that may be needed.

Within the CMS system as well will be a complete analysis of stats and traffic.
