SNAP 2008 paper was similar to last year SNAP paper in terms of difficulty level. The
difference was in Number of questions and Marking Scheme. Like last year paper this year also
AR & LR section contained 30 questions of 2 marks each but the difference was that this year
all other sections also contain 5 questions of 2 marks each. Total number of questions last year

sections were Tricky/ direct and required attentive reading. On the whole verbal section was easy
to moderate in difficulty level, barring a question or two on Vocab based/ grammar based which
were slightly difficult level. There were 3 RCs in the paper, out of which one had 6 questions
andrest of the two had 3 questions each. The RC with 6 questions was based on climate change.
And out of remaining two one was based on business forecasting and another was based on 1929
depression. The rest of the section has tested basic vocabulary, basic Grammar and basic usage.
Overall English section was easy to Moderate in difficulty level.

choices only. DI questions were easy & Direct. Bar Graph contained 4 questions which could be
done by visualisation. Questions on TSD, Sequence & Series Height & Distance etc. were easy.
Questions of Permutation & Combination were of moderate difficulty level and were bit time
consuming.
Evaluation: This section required you to be thorough with your knowledge of Geography, Current
Literary, International Affairs as well as Current Affairs. This section was very exhaustive and
required routine reading of newspaper and Current Affairs Magazines. The cut off expected in
this section is not very high.
Evaluation: The questions of visual reasoning and puzzles were time consuming where as cube
cutting coding de-coding etc. were easy. As this section contained questions of 2 marks each so
this section should have been attempted first in order to maximize the score.
