INTRODUCTION

Background of the study

In our country there is a Political dynasty that exist .They are typically

characterized as families that have established their political or economic

dominance in a province or city which members of the family have led or

represented for successive generation.

Political dynasty is a common ground of politics here in the Philippines. It is

normal for politicians wife, son, daughter or any member of his family to run for the

same or other government position in a certain place where his family is influential.

They tend to monopolize the power of the government(Palerno,2014).

(Simbulan,2017) defined political dynasty as a succession of people from the

same family who plays a role in politics. Political dynasty has existed in the political

environment of Philippines for many years. Political dynasty is a big issue that

Philippines could not solve. This political issues raising concern about the

inequality in the distribution of political power that may reflect flaws in the

government system.

The researcher’s came up to this study since the status of political dynasty

in the government is very alarming and the researchers should study this to further

discover the immorality behind Political dynasty.

 By the end of this research, they wanted to know the perception of political

dynasty to the residence of Brgy. Kalandagan Tacurong City and it’s relationship

and differences between the families involve.

Statement of the Problem

Nowadays, in our city many families are involved in political. Many families

are running for politicians and gives a contribute to the people. This study aims to

determined the perception of the residence of the Barangay Kalandagan in political

dynasty.

Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions:

1. What are the bad effects of political dynasties have on the political and

economic status?

2. What are the negative reaction of the residence towards the political

dynasties?

3. What are the positive reaction of the residence towards the political

dynasties?

Scope and Delimitation

The range of the research is to know the perception of the residence. As

perceived by the students and parents are also determined. The whole duration of

the study was conducted at Barangay Kalandagan Tacurong City.

Significance of the study

The importance of this study is to know and analyze the perception of

residents about the political dynasty in barangay Kalandagan. With the results of

this study may provide important information and discover the barangay residents

perception of political dynasty.

Finding of this study, The residents of barangay kalandagan will get more

information about the political dynasty, The politician will also have ideas and

information to get on how to improve the management of a barangay, The

researcher will also have gain more knowledge about the political dynasty.

The implication of conducting this research is to the residents living in each

barangay, The politician in which the governing party is more concerned. This

study is to determine the perception of the political dynasty. The researcher will

use their study to stabilize the information that will help about the political dynasty.

Figure 1.0 depicts the conceptual framework of the study. It is composed of 2

frames. The first frames depicts and the one frame shows the possible relationship

of the residence of Barangay kalandagan Tacurong City.

Definition of terms

City- a large town

Dynasty-a line of hereditary rules of a country

Family-a group of consisting of parents and children living together in a household.

Government- is the governing body of a nation, state, or community

Leader-a person who leads or commands a group, organization or country.

Politician-a person who is professionally involved in politics, especially as a holder

of or a candidate for an elected office.

Political-is relating to the government or the public affairs of a country.

Power-is the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the

course of events.

Residence-a person’s home, the person where someone lives.

Students-a person who is studying at a school or college.
