SCENE 1

SETTING: PARK- PASSAGEWAY

CHARACTERS: MEG

CRIS

Meg walks in the scene, a ‘Do not litter’ sign evident and posted in a
tree, holding a plastic bottle filled with water.

Meg:

Where is that Zumba fitness program located? I’m tired walking.

Cris enters the scene, walking towards Meg who just finishes her
bottle of water and threw it somewhere. Cris approaches Meg.

Cris:

Hey! Can’t you read?

Meg:

What do you mean?

Cris pointed at the ‘Do not litter’ sign attached to the tree.

Cris:

See that sign? It says ‘Do not litter’ in case you don’t know.

Meg:

Oh! Sorry I didn’t notice it awhile ago.

Meg picked up the plastic bottle and slid it inside her bag. Cris
notices Meg’s get up.

Cris:

Are you going to the Zumba fitness program too?

Meg:

Yes, I’m kinda lost. Are you perhaps going there too?

Cris:

Yes! Let’s go there together.

They both went out of the scene.

SCENE 2

SETTING: PARK- CORNER

CHARACTERS: ZUMBA INSTRUCTOR

JOBYJON

Jobyjon, holding a piece of paper containing his application for the

zumba fitness program, approaches the Zumba instructor who is
practicing the steps.
 Christian (Zumba Instructor):

1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5,6,7,8. 1 and 2-

Jobyjon:

Uhm- excuse me, I just want to inform you that I’m new here and I want
to apply for the Zumba fitness Program.

Christian took the paper that Jobyjon is holding and put it somewhere.

Christian:

Oh, so you’re the new member? Welcome!

Jobyjon:

Thank you!

Jobyjon walks out of the scene and Christian continued to practice the
steps.

Christian:

1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5,6,7,8. 1 and 2, 3 and 4…

SCENE 3:

SETTING: PARK- OPEN SPACE

CHARACTERS: ZUMBA INSTRUCTOR

ZUMBA DANCERS

DIOSDADO

TERESITA

MAGDA
 EDGARDO

Christian:

…5,6,7,8. 1 and 2, 3 and 4…

The Zumba dancers, including Teresita, Magda and Edgardo, entered the
scene. Teresita and Magda are shocked to see each other.

Teresita:

What are you doing here?

Magda:

No! What are YOU doing here?

Christian:

Hey you two! Stop shouting and let’s start the Zumba dance! 1,2,1,2,3!

The Zumba Instructor starts dancing the choreography and the Zumba
dancers followed. Teresita and Magda are arguing who’s the best dancer
among themselves.

Teresita:

I’m better dancer than you! Look at you dancing, you look like a
swaying bamboo stick!

Magda:

Don’t compare my dancing to yours! ‘Coz you look like an elephant

limping around!

Teresita and Magda continued to dance aggressively while fighting.

Christian:
1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5,6,7,8. Ok, were good! Thank you for participating
this Zumba fitness program. See you in the next program, thank you!

Christian and the zumba dancers walk out the scene. Teresita and Magda
exchanged stares from each other, not noticing Diosdado walking
towards them.

Teresita:

Why are you looking at me-

Diosdado:

Magda! Let’s go home. Are you tired?

Magda:

Yes, I’m really exhausted.

Edgardo is watching the scene from afar.

Diosdado:

Come on now.

Diosdado put his arms around Magda and walked out the scene. Edgardo
approaches Teresita who is now jealous and angry.

Edgardo:

Hey, are you okay?

Teresita:

Yes, I think I’m okay.

Edgardo pats Teresita’s shoulder and taps her back.

 Edgardo:

Do you want to go somewhere to comfort you?

Teresita nodded and they both went out of the scene.
