Special Stitches
BPDC: Wrap the yarn over the hook, insert the hook
from back to front and from right to left around the
stem of the next DC and pull up a loop, wrap the
yarn over the hook and pull through two loops,
wrap the yarn over the hook and pull through two
loops.
FPDC: Wrap the yarn over the hook, insert the hook
from front to back and from right to left around the
stem of the next DC and pull up a loop, wrap the
yarn over the hook and pull through two loops,
wrap the yarn over the hook and pull through two
loops.

Stitch Pattern
Rows 1, 3, 4, 6 (RS): CH 2 (count as 1st DC), FPDC
around each of the next 4 DC, *BPDC around each
of the next 4 DC, FPDC around each of the next 4
DC*; REP from * to * until 1 ST remains, DC into top of
CH 2.
Rows 2 & 5 (WS): CH 2 (count as 1st DC), BPDC
around each of the next 4 DC, *FPDC around each
of the next 4 DC, BPDC around each of the next 4
DC*; REP from * to * until 1 ST remains, DC into top of
CH 2.

Instructions
SCARF
With size J hook CH 24.
Foundation Row (WS): Skip 3 CH (count as 1st DC), 1
DC into next chain and each chain to end of row,
turn. (22 DC)

Work the 6 rows of Stitch Pattern a total of 23 times


or until desired length.

Fasten off, weave in ends with darning needle and


block.

FRINGE
Cut 80 20” lengths of yarn. Holding 4 strands of yarn
together attach in 10 places evenly spaced apart
across each end of scarf.

WRAP
With size J hook CH 168.
Foundation Row (WS): Skip 3 CH (count as 1st DC), 1
DC into next chain and each chain to end of row,
turn. (166 DC)

Work the 6 rows of Stitch Pattern a total of 7 times,


then rows 1-3 once.

Fasten off, weave in ends with darning needle and


block.
