Stitches you have to know

(US terms. For the conversion to UK terms, see chart below)

ch (chain), sc (single crochet), tr (treble), ss (slip stitch),

hhdc (herringbone half double crochet)

Special stitch: slipped hhdc (shhdc)

I couldn’t find the abbreviation or description for this stitch. I would appreciate if you
notify me if you find out how it’s really called.
It has to be done as follows: start as with hhdc, just draw through all 3 loops at once
without yarning over a second time. It would be like a normal ss just with yarn over
in the beginning.

If you have any questions or difficulty following this pattern, please send a personal
message on my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/nerripango)
or e-mail me to nerripango@gmail.com

How to

With color B (using two recommended yarns together) chain 180 or do fsc
(foundation single crochet) of 178 stitches. If you just chained 180, next row should
be sc to each stitch, so you end up with 178 stitches. Turn.

Feel free to chain as many as you like if you would like the blanket bigger or smaller.

Row 1: 4ch, tr into the next st, tr into each st until the end of the row. Turn.
Row 2: 2ch, shhdc into each st until the end of the row. Turn
Row 3: 4ch, tr into the back loop of next st, tr into the back loop of each st. Turn
Row 4 = Row 6 = Row 8 = Row 10 = Row with even number = Row 2
Row 5 = Row 7 = Row 9 = Row 12 = Row with odd number + Row 3
(Turn after each row)
