- The management grid model is a style leaders-ship

- It was developed by Robert R blakeand jane .moton .
- This model originally identified five different leader ship
styles based on:-
- The concern for people and
- The concern for production
- The optimal leader ship style in this model is based on the
theory Y
- The model is represent as a grid with the concern for
production the X-axis and the Y-axis for people as the Y-
axis
- Each axis rangs from 1(low) to a 9(high)
- The resulting leader ship styles are as follow:-
- The indifferent (previously called as improverished styles
(1,1) evade and elude
- In this styles the managers have low concern for both
people and production
- Managers use this styles tp protecting them selves by
avoiding getting into trouble
- The main concern for them managers is not to be held
