TIPS ON HOW TO PREPARE BOARD EXAM OF SOCIAL SCIENCE

Most of the students thinks that Social Science is one of the most difficult subject. This is because the
subject is based on understanding skills as well as facts like in History and Geography . History and Civics
requires dates, terminology and long answers on battles and politics. It is very easy to learn short
answers but students also should work hard in answering long questions.

Therefore here are some tips which can help you to secure good marks .

Its is necessary to be clear about the facts . No doubt it is hard to learn all facts but if you will prepare
separate notes for each chapter will help you more.

• Revising the notes every day will also help you .

• It is very important to have good writing skills in answering lengthy questions.
• In history to learn important dates , try to relate the dates to your life . This way you won’t ever get
confused.
• As for as lengthy answers are concerned , students should try to learn them in points. This will save
their time for writing them.
• Practicing mock tests will also helps in keeping a check on speed and writing skills.
• It is important to go through the question paper (Sample paper) in order to get an idea about the
level of questions. Begin with the short answers first and then move on the lengthy questions.
• When answering the question paper if you forget some answer in between , than try to recall but if
you still cant remember than leave some space for the answer but don’t waste your time . It has
often been witnessed that moving on to another question can help you to recall that .
• Revision is extremely important . However lengthy the paper may be try to take out some time for
revision which can help you in filling up the missing dates or facts.
• Highlighting the headings and important points can prove to be fruitful . The high lighted text grabs
the attention of the examiner and majority of the examiners then don’t bother to go through the
whole text . In such cases it will help you to gain more marks .
• Maintaining a good speed is of utmost important so that you will able to attempt the entire paper.

In the last the main thing you all have to follow blindly C.B.S.E. N.C.E. R. T course book . If you will
read and learn entire text from N.C.E. R. T book rather than helping book, will get extraordinary
success.
