I. OBJECTIVES

A. Content Standard The learner demonstrates concrete understanding of the prosodic features of speech,
study and research skills, making sense of unfamiliar words, using non-linear texts to
show relationships between ideas through oral literatures of selected Afro-Asian contries
and informative text to familiarize oneself with the culture and values that will guide
him/her in appreciating his/her identity as Asian.

B. Performance Standard The learner organizes and presents an understanding of the prosodic features of speech,
study and research skills, making sense of unfamiliar words, using non-linear texts to
show relationships between ideas through oral literatures of selected Afro-Asian contries
and informative text to familiarize oneself with the culture and values that will guide
him/her in appreciating his/her identity as Asian.

C. Learning Recognize prosodic features: stress, intonation and pauses serving as carriers of
Competencies/Objective meaning that may aid or interfere in the delivery of the message in stories and informative
text.

At the end of one-hour class discussion, the students must be able to:
a. describe the Life of Children in Uganda;
b. identify the Adjectives in sentences;
c. write correct sentences with Adjectives;
d. take and pass the test with a mastery level of 80%.

black. In the second sentence, the adjective
dirty modifies the meaning to the noun water.
In the third sentence, the word unhygienic
modifies the toilet and the words
long and muddy describes the road she
walks in order to go to school. Thus, you can
see how an adjective modifies, clarifies or
describes a NOUN or a PRONOUN.
D. Discussing concepts and The following are the ways to Use Adjectives

noun, the article should be repeated if
different objects are meant.

These are the ways to apply Adjectives to


your sentences to spice them up. Do you

II. Directions: Construct 1 short sentence
with adjectives that describes yourself.
