Thank you for purchasing PLX112 high frequency Mobile C-arm System. Please be sure to read the
User’ s Manual thoroughly before operating the unit to ensure proper use.
Caution: DO NOT connect the unit to a temporary generator with smaller capacity than
required, or connect in parallel to circuit that has been loaded with other electric loading devices
such as electric welding machine.

1: SW1, restore key for five minute fluoroscopic time.
2: SW2, key for selecting manual fluoroscopy mode, after selecting the key, the lamp above it lights on.

Additional notes for the rotation of images: Press SW37 and SW19 of HCU at the same time, the image

VP34017-RD TV system).

3.2.6 Installation of Plate Holder
Take the plate holder out of the accessory box. Refer to Graph 8 for the arrangement of the plate holder.
Aim the restrictor gap (②) on the plate holder at the installation ring on the intensifier, and then set it
together with the positioning piece ③to the installation ring on the intensifier. Otherwise, hang the position
piece of the plate holder to the installation ring on the intensifier. Rotate the screw①on the plate holder
counter-clockwise, (Be careful to rotate gently to prevent it from dropping off) and then tighten the slot on
the restrictor towards screw①to set the plate holder to the installation ring on the intensifier. Meanwhile
rotate the plate holder on the intensifier to aim the gap on the restrictor at the flange of the intensifier tightly.
Afterwards, rotate the screw①clockwise to lock and fix the slot of the restrictor

4.0 Installation and Adjustment
4.1 Notes

After opening the wooden packing, please read the operating manual carefully before installing the
equipment. Remember to check and verify the accessories one by one according to the packing list. In
case the equipment does not conform to the packing list or damage is found, please do not hesitate to
contact our staff.
The working place for use, installation, and adjustment of this equipment should be equipped with power
socket for power supply condition in line with operating manual, and connection for reliable protective
ground wiring.
4.2 Installation
4.2.1 The installation of monitor trolley
4.2.2 Unpack monitor packing case, then take out and fix the monitor on the monitor trolley.
4.2.3 Connections: Take the hand switch connection, pedal switch connection, power supply connection,
and protective ground wires out of the accessory case. Then connect them according to the outside
identification marking, and check whether all the sockets are reliable and whether the screws and screw
caps are loose.
4.3 Adjustment
4.3.1 The unit has been adjusted by high precision instruments when leaving factory. However, owing to
some reasons (like transportation, etc), the following checks and adjustments have to be performed after
installation to ensure safe operation and maximum efficiency.
4.3.2 If there is no fault, Turn on the unit, examine whether the displays are normal and adjustment knobs
are working regularly, at the same time, perform relevant adjustments and checks.
4.3.3 Inspect whether extending of auxiliary arm, ascending and descending of C-arm, and control state of
restrictor are working regularly.
4.3.4 Press manual fluoroscopic mode (the green lamp above the knob will light on). Adjust the kV value to
45kV, the mA value to 0.3mA. By stepping on Pedal switch, the X-ray indicator lamp (yellow) will light on.
4.3.5 Power on the monitor, and adjust brightness and contrast knob to make the screen brightness
properly. By stepping on the pedal switch, a bright circle will be shown on the monitor screen.
4.3.6 Automatic fluoroscopy: Press manual fluoroscopic mode (the green lamp above the knob will light
on), and moderate FLUORO kV and mA value will be adjusted automatically. By stepping on pedal switch,
the image on monitor screen will automatically adjust to certain brightness.
4.3.7 Press pulse fluoroscopic mode (the green lamp above the knob will light on), and adjust the kV value
to 45kV, the mA value to 4.1mA. By stepping on Pedal switch, the X-ray indicator lamp (yellow) will light on.
One or two seconds later, the X-ray indicator lamp (yellow) will go out, at this time, loose the pedal switch.
4.3.8 Photograph: Fit on plate holder, and choose proper kV, mAs value knob according to different body
parts. Set certain exposure time to photograph to check whether it is normal. Set the first group of hand
switch, and the indicator lamp on the operation desk will light on two seconds later to remind that the
unit is ready. Set the second group, and X-ray will commence, and the yellow indicator lamp on the
operation desk will light on. After the exposure finishes (The two indicator lamps go out and the buzzer lets
out two sounds), please loose the hand switch.
4.3.9 Check to ensure that the function of the HCU should conform to the panel operation.
5.0 Maintenance
5.1 Equipment Maintenance Requirements
5.1.1 The equipment should have regular maintenance.

5.1.2 The mechanical safety may be reduced resulted from long-term use. Therefore, remember to check
periodically whether the mechanical parts are tight and whether the brake device is reliable to protect
patients or operators from damages.
5.1.3 The equipment should be managed by designated personnel, and the managing records should be
set up for equipment.
5.1.4 The operator should receive proper training in order to perform regular inspection.
5.1.5 Designated personnel should be responsible for cutting off the power supply after operation and work.
5.1.6 The fuse specifications for this equipment are as follows: (refer to Graph 9 for locations - after
removing the cover)

Caution: The power supply should be cut off when the fuse is replaced. This procedure
should be performed only by professionals with maintenance qualification.
5.2 Cleanout and Disinfection
It is prohibited to wash the equipment with water to prevent damages to the equipment. When cleanout
and disinfection are needed, the power supply should be firstly cut off. Then, wipe the equipment with
cotton fabric soaked by scour or disinfector.
5.3 Equipment Maintenance Schedule

Check the earth resistance value of the unit: (< 0.1Ω).

Check the fixation and corruption condition of the circuit
board; remove the dust on the surface with cleaner.
Half-yearly checking Check whether the C-arm move freely and whether there is
abnormal sound.
Check whether all the operation handles works regularly and
whether the unit moves freely.
Check the center of X-ray generator subassembly and the
restrictor.
Caution: During the maintenance and checking of the equipment, the power supply must
be cut off and the power supply socket must be pulled out. It is prohibited to operate the
equipment with power on.

Caution: when undertaking a test, DO NOT adjust mA and kV knobs after stepping on
pedal switch.
If any unusual noise is noticed, disconnect power supply immediately and ask
specialists to check. DO NOT turn on power supply until the trouble has been
eliminated.
6.2 Fluoroscopic Operation
6.2.1 The longest cumulated fluoroscopic time on the panel is 5 minutes. At the point of 0.5 minute, the
buzzer will sound to remind the doctor that the patient has been exposed for 4.5 minutes and there are still
30 seconds left. The exposure will be terminated after 5 minutes. If 5 minutes is not sufficient, press reset
button whereupon the unit will resume 5-minute exposure indication. Press reset button within 5 minutes,
the unit will restart 5-minute exposure indication.
6.2.2 Turn on the monitor switch.
6.2.3 When turn on the power supply switch, the liquid screen background lamp will light on and the panel
indicator lamps will light on for 1 second. As soon as the liquid screen displays “ off” , press SW6 to turn
on the equipment, then press mode key to enter a certain mode.
6.2.4 Manual fluoroscopy: When the main monitor displays a fading image circle, the auxiliary monitor
displays a fading image circle and MEM1 on the top right corner. Adjust kV knob according to the body
parts to have fluoroscopy, meanwhile, adjust mA knob and step down the pedal switch to make the image
clear. Loosen the pedal switch, and the main monitor displays the final image and LIH on the top left
corner. Press the image manipulation key to overturn, lock, save and store the image. It must be pointed
out that the negative image function is effective only when the image is moved. The LIH image cannot be
processed with negative image disposal.
6.2.5 Automatic fluoroscopy: There id no need to adjust kV, mA value under this mode because 75kV,
0.8mA are the acquiescent parameters (can be amended under calibration), At this point, the unit will
automatically adjust FLUORO kV and mA based on the different body parts. By setting down the pedal
switch, clear image of the fluoroscopic parts can be seen. The procedures for image manipulation are the
same as these of manual fluoroscopy.
6.2.6 Impulse fluoroscopy: Adjust kV and mA knobs. Set down the petal switch, and the X-ray indicator
lamp (yellow) will light on. One or two seconds later ( Ten length of time is related to noise-lowering
parameters of image), the X-ray indicator lamp will go out. At this time, loose the pedal switch. The
procedures for image manipulation are the same as these of manual fluoroscopy.
6.3 Photographic Operation
Insert the film cassette into the plate holder and select proper kV and mAs. (kV, mAs can not only be
adjusted manually but also be read through APR). Set the first group of hand switch, and the
indicator lamp on the operation console will light on in about two seconds to remind that the equipment is
ready. Set the second group, and X-ray will commence. After the yellow indicator lamp on the

operation console lights on and the exposure finishes (the two indicators go out and the buzzer gives out
two sounds), loosen the hand brake and release the used thermal capacity.
Caution: If HU% thermal capacity is not sufficient to photograph, please wait for a
moment;
Turn on beam applicator when photographing.

b) The focal spot to skin distance should be kept at least 200mm in the process of photographing;
meanwhile, human body should try to approach X-ray film.
c) If possible, try to apply low dose exposure.
d) During operation, the operator should take necessary measures to protect against radiation: use
protective devices, wear x-ray protective coats, and take radiography in the significant zone of
occupancy (refer to Graph 10) to reduce radiation to the minimum.

7.3 Electric Safety
Make sure the voltage of the electric grid, the input power and the inner resistance of the power supply
that the unit is connected comply with power requirements.
a) The unit must not be used in rooms that contain flammable and/or explosive gases.
b) Disconnect the unit from the power supply socket before carrying out any cleaning, disinfection and/or
sterilization.
c) Always turn the unit off after use.
Caution: To protect the equipment from any damage, the unit can only be restarted
five minutes later regardless of any reason after the power supply is cut off.

brightness of the monitor.
9.2.3 If it can photograph a large quantity properly, check whether the electric grid voltage is too low and
whether the power supply loop is overloaded. Try again after the equipment has been turned on for five
minutes.
9.2.4 If the circuit breaker jumps when the equipment is turned on, restart the equipment. If the fault
repeats, then the system is in a serious short circuit state.
9.3 Ordinary Faults in Mechanical Parts

If the ascending and descending of the pillar fail, press the emergency off knob and check the lamp
indication inside K11 and K12. If there is lamp indication, check the 24V voltage. Replace the 24V power
supply if there is no 24V voltage. Otherwise, check the circuitry and circuit breaker.

3. The operators are well-trained technicians and they strictly operate the unit according to the
requirements in this manual.
12.2 Three Guarantees
a) Under the circumstance that the users abide by the terms and conditions mentioned above, we will
repair the unit or replace the unit parts free of charge, even refund if the unit can not work properly
owing to quality reasons within one year from delivery.
b) If there is any damage resulted from ignorance of the above mentioned terms and conditions or the
unit has expired the one-year guarantee period from delivery, we will repair or change the unit parts
and accessories for users with moderate charge of the material and labor costs.
c) We are responsible for the regular maintenance of the unit with proper use within 8 years.
