INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE
FOR GRADUATION CEREMONY
HON. REYNALDO S. CONCEPCION
I would like to start by saying, Congratulations to you, City Mayor
class of 2019! HON. JOVENCIO S. BUMANGLAG SR.
You have come now to the endpoint of your tedious
journey after innumerable years of persevering exertion to arduous academic
Vice Mayor
tasks and co-curricular activities in school. It is gratifying to see all of you
today as accomplished individuals ready to tackle new challenges ahead.
Suffice to say that you have devoted serious effort and energy to work to your
City Councilor
potential, set goals for yourself, and become the best that you are today. I truly
admire you for I know very well how it takes to have come this far. I too, have
been there thirty years ago, far worse than what you have been led to believe I HON. REGALADO D. SALMA JR. HON. DARYLL T. ABA
was. I had a deprived childhood then which means that I wasn’t able to have HON. FRANCISCO R. DAEL JR. HON. JOSELITO R. MANSO
the things that are necessary for a pleasant life, such as enough money, food HON. FELIX R. MIRA JR. HON. EPIFANIO T. BUSMION
and good living conditions. But it didn’t prevent me from finding my place
HON. TEOPISTO T. CALUMPANG JR. HON. HENRY R. TAM
under the sun. Instead, I labored from dawn to dusk surrounding the hurdles
along the way, resolving the endless baffles conquering tremendous battles. I HON. PATCHITA Y. BULANDRES HON. IRVING M. MALUNDA
never would have been here with you today had I not taken action to HON. SEGFREDO O. BUAGAS
accomplish the goals I have set for myself and to purposefully change my life. ABC President
My dear graduates, in this moment of certitude and pride for yourselves,
your parents and your loved ones, your friends, and your community, let me HON. ANTHONY FEROLINO
bring to you a message far more important than you have learned in the past. City Administrator
Continue to dream and aspire for anything best you might find yourself.
Remember that soon after graduation, you will be treading your way out to OBOGON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
college or towards employment which entails an even more tedious journey FACULTY & STAFF
ahead. Always see to it that you possess within you the power to do, for what SY: 2018-2019
you have become of you in the future would be the final outcome of your action
today.
I vehemently hope that this personal accomplishment of yours serves as an Mr. Arnold A. Mira
example of how anything is truly possible when we put our effort to it. Nurture School Head
my words and use them to elevate yourself and others as well.
To end, let me draw upon the wisdom of Bradley Whitford, an American Faculty & Staff
actor and political activist: “Take action. Every story you’ve ever connected Mrs. Dinah C. Fortuito Mr. Engelbert C. Ariza
with, every leader you’ve ever admired, every puny little thing you’ve ever
Ms. Elsa R. Catacutan Mrs. Marites P. Mananquil
accomplished is the result of taking action. You have a choice. You can either
be a passive victim of circumstances or can be an active hero of your own life.”
Mrs. Judesa O. Ariza Mrs. Editha B. Torres
Act today, and be a hero tomorrow. Mrs. Gina C. Girasol Mrs. Delia E. Mira
Wish you all the best of luck and God bless you and your journey ahead! Mrs. Marina A. Cuevas Mrs. Alma M. Mananquil

My warmest greetings and congratulations to the foremost
champions of this momentous occasion—the completers and
graduates of School Year 2018-2019!

Graduation and moving-up ceremonies are indeed a joyous

celebration, and not only because it culminates another year of
learning and discovery, perseverance, and passionate work among
our learners. It also caps off another year of successful collaboration
among parents, teachers, education officials and personnel,
community members, partners, and stakeholders of diverse roots,
cultures, and traditions.

This year’s theme, “Unity in Diversity: Quality Education for All,”

speaks of our commitment and loyalty to our culture—diverse as it
is—that reflects our soul and unites our people. Time and again, we
have proven that regardless of our descent, status, ethnicity, and
religious and political beliefs, we can unite towards the realization of
a common goal—the delivery of quality, accessible, relevant, and
liberating basic education for the Filipino learners.

While the Department of Education (DepEd) has carried on and

embraced change amid technological advancements and the
continuously shifting socio-economic landscape, it commits itself to
the holistic development of 21st century learners who are not only
critical and innovative thinkers in the fields of science, mathematics,
and robotics, but who are also artistic and creative, and can thrive in
the fields that appeal to our soul and our sense of identity.

Rest assured that through the K to 12 Basic Education Program,

DepEd shall strive to hone our future leaders and nation-builders in
a society that embraces diversity and all its challenges and
advantages. I am positive that whatever path they wish to pursue
hereafter, our graduates and completers will continuously enrich
what makes up the Filipino soul—our culture, talent, history, and
capacity to survive.

Again, congratulations and mabuhay!

My warmest greetings to the school officials,
administrators, facultymembers and advisers, teachers, parents
and guardians of the graduates of school year 2016-2017 with
the theme, “Sabay-
SabaynaHakbangTungosaMaunladnaKinabukasan."

If a man wants education, he can learn all he wants. But if a man wants
to prove himself, a diploma would be a tangible proof for
everyone. However, diplomas are only symbols, but education lasts a
lifetime.

Dear graduates, congratulations on this special day when you reap the
fruits of your hard work and perseverance in the past years – all those
nights of painstakingly studying your lessons and those days of putting
your knowledge at work to be a step closer to your dreams. This day is
a commemoration of your achievements, a time to anticipate future
opportunities, and a season to embrace and thank people who have
helped you in one way or the other to reach this finish line.
With all the knowledge, skills, and values you acquired, you have prepared
yourself for life-changing endeavors and infinite possibilities. As you journey
through life, keep working hard because this is just the beginning of many
challenges as well as future successes.

Make your country proud of you and your accomplishments. Your mentors are
confident that you will continue living up to become citizens of character and
lofty ideals, and whose critical thinking and competency will take the country
to path of global competitiveness and recognition.

All the best in your next endeavor and congratulations

Intro

I know this world seems so big

And everything seems so out of reach
The sky is high and the walk is wide
You've just don't know what you've got yet

Bridge

It's in the palm of your hands

It's right in front of where you stand

Chorus

If you believe, everything you dream, will come true

If you can love no matter how you hurt, Love will come to you, back to you.
This world is yours

Verse 2
At times I know it's going to be hard
When you think you can't go on
But there's a plan for you just let your heart follow through
Come on, I promise you can do it all
Cause when you fall you can always start again
Your future's right in front of where you stand

Chorus

If you believe, everything you dream, will come true

If you can love no matter how you hurt, Love will come to you, back to you.
This world is yours

Coda

Climb a mountain
Cross the ocean
Sail the river until it opens
Make good friends, listen hard
Let it out, and dance on..
