IV. PROCEDURES Daily Routines (Prayer, Whereabouts of Learners)

A. Elicit Activating Prior Knowledge

Reviewing previous lesson
(Pak Ganern Game about Mitosis) this is a form of
diagnostic test to evaluate learners retention on their
knowledge about mitosis.

The teacher will present a puzzle to the class entitled “What’s the Word?
B. Engage That’s the Word” this activity will help the students guess the topic by solving
the mystery word flash on the TV screen.
Literacy and (Multiple Intelligences)

 The teacher will present the Topic and allow learners to be guided with
the lesson target (Objective)

(Group Activity)
C. Explore The students will watch a video about mitosis and afterwards they will
sing the song “Mitosis Song” which was assigned to them last meeting.

The teacher will group the students into three groups (3) to
develop learner’s cooperation and camaraderie. This will
encourage all the learners to share their different ideas and allow
them to mentor their members.
The teacher presents a variety of tasks that caters multiple intelligences and
individual differences of the learners. Each group will choose one task that they
will present later in front of the class.

Differentiated Instruction
Reporting and Singing will use multi-Media Presentation to integrate ICT

Each group will present their chosen task.

In connection with the activity the teacher will discuss the number
of chromosomes in identifying the type of cell produce in cell
D. Explain division.
2n (2 sets) for diploid cells where n is equal to 23 chromosomes
and therefore diploid cells have 46 chromosome (2*23= 46)
1n for haploid cell that contains 23 chromosomes (1*23= 23)
Numeracy and Mathematics Integration as well as Biology for Reproduction

Finding practical applications and abstractions about the

lesson
E. Elaborate
1. The students will describe what happens to the cell when it
wounded.

2. What do you think will happen when mitosis goes wrong?

Explain the important events of Mitosis.
