What is the duty of a cabin crew member inside the plane?

The mission of the cabin crew member or flight attendant is to provide a service of
quality to the passenger, this can be achieved through the care of their safety and
comfort during the flight, therefore, you should be trained to deal with situations of
emergency and to have the necessary knowledge , for example First Aid and Self
Defense. The tasks of a flight attendant may vary depending on the duration of the
flight, the size of the crew and the airline.

Your Functions: Before the flight, during and after the flight. Before the flight the
crew member, must assist a previous briefing, in which, details of the flight, will be
given, like , the schedule, the number of children on board, if there`s a passenger
with a special requirement, like a person in a wheel chair. The realization of the task
prior to the flight, including the verification the safety equipment. The Flight
Attendant makes sure the plane it`s in order, and is responsible of the inventory:
Meals, beverages, brochures, everything available on board, greet the passengers and
lead them to their seats. During the flight, check all the seatbelts before takeoff, give
information, answer questions during the flight, Serve the meals, offer beverages and
refreshments , calm the passengers, make sure that they follow correctly the safety
procedures in situations of emergency, and provide first Aid when necessary. After the
flight, the cabin crew make sure that the passengers disembark correctly at the end of
the flight, and verify that there´s not loose luggage, or suspicious objects on board,
complete the paperwork, including, a report of the flight, in which they should inform
any incident occurred during the flight, and update the inventory.

After analyzing the results of the investigation it was determined that besides
preparing the cabin crew in content focused in the safety of the passenger during the
flight , the priority is to make emphasis in the service given to the passenger, before,
during and after the flight, that is to say, not just focus, in the food service, but to
improve the attention from the greeting, until when the passenger get off the plane,
guide them to their respective seats, accommodate their luggage, following the
established rules, answer their questions, and concerns, through all the phases of the
flight and being accretive.
