Website Evaluation Criteria

 For the purposes of our discussion, criteria may be defined as the standards that help us determine the value of
educational websites. (Boklaschuk, Caisse, 2001)

 Various studies conducted in the field have taken into account the following parameters for the development of
evaluation criteria.

The large number of educational websites has made it difficult for users to determine their quality because the

materials included therein are not scrutinized for credibility and accuracy and are subject to all sorts of bias.

When we do not understand something that we should have learned in class or something that our teacher or instructor made us
to do research for a particular lesson, our primary step is to hop online and hit up Google or Wikipedia. But sometimes we do not
find what we are looking for and were forced to do our research in tangible media forms likes books and newspapers which may
be time consuming for us to visit a library or find a newspaper to read about. But in our modern age, a new educational website,
https://cosmolearning.org, has made our search for knowledge a lot easier and time convenient in which we can do our works and
research inside our home without the need of visiting libraries or finding any newspaper.

https://cosmolearning.org/, unlike other websites, this portal provides academic as well as skill-based learning to the
students. Students can either refer to the material being provided or enrol themselves in any of the 58 courses. The website is
synthesised with three main options, including educational material, courses and documentaries. The subjects have been divided
into two sections, namely extra-curricular and academic subjects.

https://cosmolearning.org/, is also a free educational website for students and teachers and offers educational materials in 37
courses. These courses range from anthropology to French to religion to music and sports. Basically, anything you need or want
to learn, you can find on this site. https://cosmolearning.org/, offers video lectures, documentaries, quizzes, and lecture notes
that have been uploaded from professors and experts from across the world. Some of the contributors include Cornell
University, MathTV, Nike, INC., and Yale University.

While on CosmoLearning, you can study for the SAT or learn how to give professional manicures. The possibilities are

endless once you enroll. And enrolling is easy: All you have to do is fill out a form. Best of all, it’s completely free!

You cannot earn a degree from CosmoLearning, but it is a great way to supplement your classroom learning, or to learn

about something completely unrelated to your classroom learning.
