SIP  Trunking  for  IP  PBX  Integration  

Indosat  IMS  
 
 
 
A.  Definition  
 
SIP   Trunking   are   SIP   based   connection   which   manage   communication   between  
IP  PBX  and  Indosat  IMS    
Session   Border   Controler   (SBC)   are   used   as     Border   Gateway   between   IMS   and  
external  SIP  devices.    
The  SBC  is  the  only  contact  point  which  known  by  customer  PBX.  
 

 
 
 
SBC  IP  Address  :  10.253.156.205  ,  Port  :  5060  
Domain  :  ims.indosat.com  
 The  SIP  Trunk  are  configured  in  both  IMS  and  IP  PBX  side.  
 
The    IP  PBX  :  
• Not  required  to  send  registration  message  to  SBC  
• Must  route  the  outgoing  call    to  IMS  SBC  IP  address  
• Able  to  receive  incoming  call  from  IMS  or  other  party  
 
B.  Requirement  :  
 
1. Proper  IP    Link  between  IP  PBX  and  IMS  
2. SIP  Based  IP  PBX  or  Softswitch  
3. IP  PBX  use  the  static  IP  address  
4. Communicate  with  compatible  SIP  Format  with  Indosat  IMS  
 
C.  Numbering  Format  (PBX  Point  of  view)  
 
• Domain  :  ims.indosat.com  
• A  Number  format    must  use  Country  Code  +  Area  +  Number  as  below  :  
+62{area  code}{Number}    
Example  :  +622130497777  ,  Digit  21  is  area  code  for  Jakarta  Area

• B  Number  format    
o Local  Call  :    6-­‐8  digit  code  without  Area  Code.    
Example  :  7123456, 30001000  (for  Jakarta  Number)  
o Cellular  Call  :    10  –  12  digit  code,  start  with  0  
example  :  08151234567  
o National  Call  :  9  –  12  digit  code,  include  Area  Code,  start  with  0  
 example  :  022-31234567  
o International  Call  :    13-­‐17  digit  code,  include  International  Prefix  
(001,008,  007)  +  Country  Code  +  Area  Code  +  Number.  
Example  :  001 65 11223344 , 008 60 10 12345678  
 
D.  SIP  Format  
 
The  IP  PBX  must  send  the  Indosat  IMS  compatible  SIP  format    
1. Request    URI  
• sip:{B  Number}@10.253.156.205:5060      
example  :  sip:0815123456@10.253.156.205:5060  
2. From  Header  
• sip:{A  Number}@ims.indosat.com  
example  :  sip:+622130497777@ims.indosat.com

E.  Media  Stream  
 
IP  PBX  Media/RTP  IP  address    must  routeable  to  SBC  IP  Address.  
Supported    Codec  :  G711A  or  G729  
Packetized  Periode  :  10  ms  or  20  ms  or    30  ms.  
 
 
F.    Call  Route  
 
• SBC  will  do  the  SIP  Registration  to  IMS,  thus  IP  PBX  must  not  send  
registration  message  to  SBC  
• PBX  must  route  the  outgoing  call  to  SBC  with  the  correct  SIP  format  
• SBC  will  route  Incoming  call  to  IP  PBX  using  IP  PBX  numbering  format.
