Introduce my name is Hastriani, a student in the mathematics education study program

FKIP Unismuh Makassar, on this occasion I made an essay related to the achievement
material in the English course 1. On Tuesday, 11 January 2019 I presented a material
about plane figures. Fill in the material I explain about the meaning and type and an
example of a triangle. For more details, here are the contents of my presentation
material :

Plane Figure

Some definitions :

• A plane figure is a flat surface

• A geometrical figure that has the property that line joining with any two of its
points lies completely on its surface

• Plane angle is an angle between two intersecting lines

• A plot is used to locate or mark (points) on a graph relative to a coordinate

system or to draw (curves) though these points

Contoh :

Triangle is the name of a shape made form three sides in the form of a straight line and
three angles.

Triangle has the following characteristics :

1. Having 3 sides with a leght of two sides longer than the other side

2. Has 3 angles of 180 degrees

Triangle types based on the length of the sides :

• An isosceles triangle is type of triangle which when all three sides are equal.

• An equilateral triangle is type of triangle that has two equal sides.

• An arbitrary triangle is a type of triangle whose three sides are not the same.

Triangle type based on the size of the angle :

• Taper triangle is a type of triangle that is large every angle of a triangle less
than 90 degrees

• A blunt triangle is a type of triangle where one of its angles has a magnitude of
more tha 90 degress

• A right triangle is a type of triangle that is one angle and its large triangle is 90
degress

AROUND AND AREA OF TRIANGLE

The formula for calculating the around of a triangle is :

Around = side 1 + side 2 + side 3

Problem

If it is known that a flat wake triangle has sides including sides a, sides b and sides c
with lengths of 12 cm, 8 cm and 5 cm respectively. Determine the around of the
triangle?

Discussion:

Around Triangle = a + b + c

Around Triangle = 12 + 8 + 5

Around Triangle = 25 cm

The formula for calculating the around of a triangle is :

 Learning Strategies

When explaining the material, I used the active-new learning model strategy with
the "direct learning model". This model describes: Students (teachers / lecturers) teach
step by step to improve student procedural and factual knowledge. This learning is
implemented by demonstrations or explanations carried out by students (teachers /
lecturers) and continued with guided student work. Furthermore, feedback is given
before giving students an expanded assignment.

 The Results Of The Learning Strategy

As long as explaining, there are several points that are successful, applied. There
are several students who understand the material and answer questions and describe
the types of plane figures. After the presentation, the lecturer corrects the way I present.
There are some corrections like the way I pronounce in English and the method that I
use. Suggestions from presentations are using props and using new methods.
