THE ATLAS COPCO WORKWEAR COLLECTION

ONE COMPANY - ONE TEAM - ONE LOOK

In order to further strengthen the Atlas Copco brand worldwide and to

instill pride among our employees, the official Atlas Copco workwear
collection was introduced in 2011. The vision was and remain that all
Atlas Copco service technicians and service engineers in the field will
look the same so that no matter where in the world you are, you should
always recognize Atlas Copco and the quality and expertise we stand
for.

Equally important, by wearing the same workwear collection, we

safeguard that all employees have the same safe working conditions
through high-quality, custom made clothes and accessories, tailor made
based on our unique needs and preferences and tested according to
international standards.

The Atlas Copco workwear collection is developed in close cooperation

with you, our internal customers, and can be purchased from the Profile
Store. The collection is manufactured in line with Atlas Copco’s Business
Code of Practice via a thoroughly scrutinized supply chain, and offers a
vast variation of models, fabrics, and patterns to choose from, including
adaptations to local laws and regulations.

With the increasing importance of service within the Group and the
service providers’ frequent interaction with customers, one common look
will strengthen the Atlas Copco brand internally as well as externally,
helping us attract new business as well as new employees.

“You only get one chance to make a first impression.”

To enhance the longevity and durability of garments the Atlas Copco Workwear has made sure to strengthen the most exposed parts on the
garments. Areas such as hanging pockets, kneepad areas, sleeve ends, and ankles are places that need tougher fabrics to achieve increased
durability, usability, and optimal use. These factors have been taken into consideration during product development and are put into practice
whenever possible.

The Atlas Copco Workwear collection has also used fabrics that protect from the sun and are produced from fabrics rated for its level of ultraviolet
(UV) protection. All Atlas Copco fabrics are rated UPF 40-50+ which is the highest level of protection.

Proper washing vital for function and safety.

Modern work wear and protective clothing requires the right washing and finishing treatment to maintain its func-
tion. Industrial washing is the safest way to get this guarantee.
An industrial laundry has strict control over the entire process - from the collection of dirty goods to the delivery
of complete, clean and serviceable clothing. That way you can ensure that your employees have the protection
needed to perform their work safely. High-visibility clothing that does not show properly loses its protective func-
tion. The fluorescent and reflective materials require proper washing and care of the garments. Flame retardant gar-
ments should not be washed with soap detergent, commonly used at home.

An industrial laundry uses only eco- friendly, synthetic detergent and thus the protective effect of the garments
is retained. Flame retardant clothing and high-visibility clothing does not withstand fabric softener or bleach. In
addition, dirty, wet or sweaty clothes have inferior flame protection, making it important that these garments are
washed regularly.

Customers at an industrial laundry usually get traceability of their garments. In the online system, you will see
how often the clothes are changed by the staff, and when the garment has been washed and checked. You get a
complete history and overview, which confirms to the user that the garments still maintain the right protection. If
your work clothes are washed at home anyway, please read care instructions carefully. This is your guarantee that
every garment retains its full protection qualities.

EN397 Industrial helmets

the Personal Protective Equipment Directive (89/686/EEC) categorizes such safety equipment. This
categorization enables Safety Personnel to select the appropriate PPE to match the hazards and risks
identified during Health and Safety Audits.
This type of personal protective equipment conforms to the requirements in the Directive89/686/EEC
and the aforementioned standard.
User instructions
For adequate protection this helmet must fit or be adjusted to the size of the user’s head. The helmet
is made to absorb the energy of a blow causing partial destruction or damage to the shell and the
harness, and even though such damage may not be readily apparent, any helmet subjected to severe
impact should be replaced.
The attention of the user is also drawn to the danger of modifying or removing any of the original
component parts of the helmet, other than as recommended by the helmet manufacturer. Do not apply
paint, solvents, adhesives, or self-adhesive labels, except in the accordance with instructions from the
helmet manufacturer.

EN352-3:2002 Hearing Protectors

This standard specifies requirements for construction, design, performance, marking and user
information for ear-muffs fitted to an industrial helmet which complies with EN 397. In particular, it
specifies the sound attenuation of the helmet mounted ear-muffs, measured in accordance with
EN 24869-1. Because one model of ear-muffs designed to be attached to an industrial safety helmet
can be fitted to a number of helmet models and sizes, this standard sets out a series of physical and
acoustic requirements for the ear-muffs when fitted to the specified model(s) or size(s) of helmet. All
requirements apply to the ear-muffs fitted to one of the specified models or sizes of helmet (the basic
combination), and an abbreviated set of requirements apply to the same model of ear-muffs when fitted
to the other specified models or sizes of helmet (the supplementary combinations). Ergonomic aspects
are addressed by taking into account, within the requirements, the interaction between the wearer,
the device and where possible the working environment in which the device is likely to be used.

EN352-2 Hearing Protectors

This standard specifies constructional, design and performance requirements, marking requirements and
user information for ear-plugs. In particular, it specifies the sound attenuation of the ear-plugs,
measured in accordance with EN 24869-1. Ergonomic aspects are addressed by taking into account,
within the requirements, the interaction between the wearer, the device and where possible the
working environment in which the device is likely to be used.

EN340
CE certified protective workwear - general requirements
This standard covers general requirements for all protective clothing requiring CE marking in Europe and
must be considered along with the specific standard for the item in question.
The standard specifies general performance requirements for ergonomics, innocuousness, size
designation, aging, compatibility, and marking of protective clothing and the information to be supplied
by the manufacturer with the protective clothing.
The EN 340 incorporating correct design, sufficient comfort to the wearer (bearing in mind the safety
properties of the garment), dimensional changes from repeated cleaning, and the methods used such
as dry cleaning, washing etc. Ensuring that the clothing does not adversely affect the health of the
wearer. A requirement for clothing to be marked with the correct size based on standard body
dimensions. The change of property of one or more component over time to the detriment of the
clothing. Ensuring that the clothes marking is in the correct language for the intended market, that they
are attached to the clothing and visible, and that they are durable to appropriate cleaning.
