Go-Live Announcement for

Key Stakeholders (Customer


and Apigee) Guide
Purpose
This Go-Live Announcement Guide provides a template of the email that should be sent post-go-live (or
after a significant delivery) to the key external and internal stakeholders. The guide is not intended to be
prescriptive, but is intended to make the scrum master aware of various factors to consider when sending
the email out. The guide also includes a sample go-live announcement as a reference.

Go-Live Announcement Audience


This Go-Live Announcement is intended for the key stakeholders within Apigee and from the customer.
Please mark named persons (the people named in ‘Team’ section of the email) in TO so that responses
can go to the team being thanked for the success of the project.

<Include specific division or department using the Apigee technology so that key stakeholders can know
which part of the customer organization is involved and purpose for which they are using Apigee in very
brief. When the platform is expected to go live or already went live?>

<Brief description of the business problem being solved by the usage of the Apigee technology. If there
are certain use cases apart from the business problem, also include those use cases around how they are
leveraging Apigee technology. What functionality is being provided? How that is going to benefit the
developers or actual users and the company? What APIs are being deployed? If there are any
expectations shared with Apigee (in terms of number) on how the application of Apigee technology will
solve the problem, you can include that. For ex. Developer adoption is expected to increase by 200%
percent, it is worth mentioning.>

<Include the names of the groups from customer and Apigee who are instrumental in making the
program live. Provide the name and contact address of the one or two people each from the customer
and Apigee so that the reader can ask for more information if he is willing to know details.>

Go-Live Announcement Sample

Example one (ABC retail Corporation)

ABC started using Apigee's Edge platform last Monday for upcoming product promotion campaign led
by the Digital marketing group within ABC's Marketing division.

ABC is using Apigee's Edge platform to increase brand awareness and brand reach by launching the
digital promotion campaigns targeted for the mobile users. Mainly, the program will provide following
functionality via APIs exposed over Apigee's Edge platform:


 Offers and m-coupons 



 Product adviser, helping consumers to select right product for their needs
 
Store locator, showing nearest retailer where the products are available.


The program bridges the gaps in the marketing campaigns by taking ABC to where its consumers are
today.

Product Management and Enterprise Mobility groups at ABC's Marketing division along with Apigee's
Customer Success, Engineering and Product Support groups worked together relentlessly for weeks to
make it happen.

Example Two (ABC telecom corporation)

ABC’s Retail Sales department will be using the Apigee’s Edge Platform that went live this Friday to
enhance the customer on-boarding experience and customer service experience.

ABC will now allow to self-serve their customers with easy and fast self-service app powered by
Apigee's Edge platform, which provides following functionality via a suite of APIs ready to be
consumed by variety of different mobile apps:

 
On-network Identity checks allowing network self-registration for the new customers.
 
Easier data package selection and configuration.

 Secure payment services to allow once click easy payments and recharges.
 Mobile identity, acting as customers virtual identity cards that can be used in variety of real
scenarios


This interface will improve the quality of user interaction and will also lower the contact center
interactions significantly.

Customer Relations Management and Chief Innovations Office at ABC along with Apigee's Customer
Success, Engineering and Product Support groups worked together relentlessly for weeks to make it
happen.
