Different Dyeing Steps And Their Meanings
1. Apparatus Filling:- Machine is filling with water.

2. Recovery Water From Machine:- Water come from machine

into dyebath.

3. Holding Time:- Hold the material at different temperature

For different-2 time for uniform absorption of liqour in
material.

4. Colour kitchen ok:- Is chemical or colour is added in bath if yes

then ok and forward for further step.

5. Reset Level:- Reset the level if decrease water in and if increase

then drain.

6. Chemical transfer:- Inject the chemical.

7. Colour Transfer:- Dosing of colour is done in the given time

according to shade and material.
(Dosing time is differ according to type of material).

8. Gradient:- By which degree temperature is increased or

decreased per minute.

9. Continuous Rinsing:- Overflow to decrease the temperature.

10. Drain:- Drain the machine.

*In hank dyeing material stands liqour moves.

Various Faults Due To Process Takes Long Time

 If machine operator does not add chemical on time.

 If steam pressure is low.

 In insufficiency of water.

 If steam valve is not open and closed time to time.

(Due to which machine doesn’t take sufficient heat and
increase in temperature is slow).
 If there is fault in machine program.

Various types of Faults in dyeing

 Unevenness.

 Shade Variation.

 Stain.

 Fastness(Rubbing , Washing).

 Feel.

 Lusur.
Precautions

 Use of PPE when mixing or adding chemicals.

 Close the door of machine properly.

 Dressing should be properly.

 There is no stick mark in hank.

 After using water close the valve of water line.

 Colour pasting is done only in colour pasting area.

 Mixing of chemicals is properly by stirrer till not

mix completely.

 No. of hanks in sticks should be same in all.

 All pair of sticks should be on same level.

 Use of fresh water should be less.

 When taking acid only use the bucket which has

precaution tape on it.
