Commentary

Education is the process of learning where an individual is being trained to improve his or
her knowledge. Nowadays, people wanted to attend to a school with a good educational system
and this school fits the description perfectly. Ma’am/Sir I welcome you to Feliciano Yusay Consing
National High school! I am Nicole Joy Bitoon and I will be your tour guide for today. Before we
start our tour Ma’am/Sir let’s get to know FYCNHS shall we?
Feliciano Yusay Consing National Highschool is formerly known as Cabug-Cabug National
Highschool. This school was established since 1969 and it has been standing for 50 years and
counting. The first principal, Rosario E. Catalan opened up this public highschool in Cabug-Cabug.
By June 1970 CabugCabug Barangay Highschool has officially accepted its first and second year
enrollees starting with 260 students educated by 5 full-time teachers and occupying 4 classrooms
which were part of Cabug-Cabug Elementary school buildings. The school has changed it’s name
because of the generosity of Don Ramon Locsin. He donated the land of the school and the
Division office approved It’s new name.
Now that we have learned the brief history of the school, let’s begin our tour. Just relax
and have fun for we are about to discover the wonders of this school!
The first vicinity that we are going to visit is the guard house. The guard house is where
the school guard does his duties. His job is to keep the students from breaking the school rules
and regulations. He also keeps the school peaceful. In addition, you can find your lost ID and
other items in the guard house.
Moving on to the second place that we are going to take a look is the Principal’s office. In
this office, is where the principal work on school duties such as paper works. Our principal is such
a busy man that’s why FYCNHS is improving a lot lately because of his hard work.
Beside the principal’s office we have here our library. The library is where the students do
their research by reading books. Since the idea of internet is popular nowadays, we shouldn’t
forget that books are the major source of knowledge. And it helps us a lot because books are
contained with facts.
Inside the school library he have here our Administrative Office. In this office, the
Administrative officers are in charge with the financial aspects of the school. They are also the
ones who keeps the records of the students and teachers.
Our next stop is the Head Teacher’s Office. Every subject has its own head teacher to
monitor them and to make sure that every department does their job smoothly. We have Mrs.
Roselyn Palorma, Ms. Grace Deado, Mrs. Armida Dela Cruz, Mrs. Ruth Villareal, Mrs. Josephine
Tungol, Mrs. Nenencia Almorfe, Mr Edward Tipon , and Mrs. Judy Ann Denaga.
 The next vicinity that we are about to take a look is the Reading Center. The reading center
is where students visit to enhance their skills in English with the help of the English teachers since
there are some students who have a little trouble in their English, so if they wanted to learn and
enhance their English skills, The Reading Center is the place to go to.
The next spot that we’re going to stop by is the Guidance Councilor’s office. This place is
where they solve various conflicts with the help of Mrs. Pamela Bataican so maintain the peace
and harmony of the school.
Just above this vicinity, we have the Computer Laboratory. In this place is where they
teach students the ICT subject and they can do their computer activities in this spot.
Next is the Home Economics Building (HE Building). This is where the cookery students do
their cooking activities since this building is complete with cooking materials and necessities.
Always remember not to touch anything because once these items are broken consider it sold.
After that the next place that we’re gonna see is the Senior High Building. This is one of
the new buildings here in FYCNHS that opened up last year and it is only exclusive to senior high
school students. On the third floor of this building, we can find the Faculty Office consisting its
faculty members. Beside the faculty office, we have the office of the Assistant Principal which is
Mrs. Leah Uy.
Moving on to our next location, we are here at the (PREMCO) canteen. Since I know that
you are tired because of walking here are some drinks to feel refreshed. Here in this canteen
students come here during their vacant period and recess. Inside this canteen, we also have a
bank where students and teacher can make deposits, withdrawals, and other services provided
by this bank. Actually, here in school we have a total of three canteens so it wouldn’t be hard for
the students because of the distance.
Next up, we’re going to proceed to the Junior High Faculty Office. This place is located at
the backstage of the covered gym. This office is also contained by its faculty members.
After that, let’s proceed to the Teen Center. The teen center is the place where the
students could peacefully do their homework or they could just chill and get some rest.
The last place that we’re gonna take a look at is the School Clinic. Every month in this
school, there would be 5-10 students that would have asthma attacks and they will be taken here
in the school clinic. In this place, students who are injured or sick will be treated in this school
clinic.
