INTRODUCTION:
-Good afternoon Class!!! -Good afternoon sir!!!
-Checking of attendance.
Please arrange your chairs and seat properly…

This afternoon we are going to talk about

force.
We are going to define force, differentiate
contact force and long range force and we will
describe the different type of forces.

Okay class, look around, and tell me what you Answers may vary.
see.
From our day to day lives we are surrounded
by different objects moving and not moving,
cars, buses, airplanes, boats animals are
examples of this.
What causes these objects to move or not to
move? Answers may vary.
Could it be possible because of force? Answers may vary.

Okay class, have a look on this pictures.

(pic.1)What makes the ball move? Ans.1The man pushes the ball with his racket.
(pic.2)What makes the car move? Ans.2.The man pushes the car.
(pic.3)What makes the wagon move? Ans.3.The child pulls the wagon.
In the above pictures the objects are being
moved by a push or pull. A push or pull acting
on an object is called force.
Force is a vector quantity.
There are two category of Force.
1. Contact force
2. Long-range force
Example of contact( I push and pull the chair)
Example of long-range (magnets and gravity.
Forces have agents, each forces has a specific,
identifiable, immediate cause called agent.
Agent the one who applied force.
The unit of force is Newton. 1N=kg.m/s2
Now let’s talk about the types of Forces.
1. Gravitational force
2. Magnetic force
3. Nuclear force
4. Muscular force
IV: Summary
1.Define Force
2.Differentiate contact and long-range force
3.Types of force

V: Evaluation
Enumeration: Give what is being described in
each item.
1. A push or pull of an object. Ans.
2. What is the unit for force? 1. Force
3. A force that acts on an object only by 2. Newton (N)
touching it. 3. Contact force
4. A force that is exerted without 4. Long-range force
touching. 5. Magnetic force
5. A force that is being exerted by
magnets.

VI: Assignment
Define the following:
1. Work
2. Power
3. Energy
