As a result of this lesson, students will be able to:


• Complete a painting using the colour palette they previously created
• Use the paint scraping technique to add texture and emphasis to their painting

1:20pm Greet and settle students on the mat. Align these with the
Recap previous lessons: designs and techniques. segment where they will
be introduced.
5 mins Lesson Steps (Lesson content, structure, strategies & Key
Questions):

Explain today is the final piece so students need to finish.

Instructions (on the TV):


Art shirts, paper,
1) Art shirts on brushes, paint, paper
2) Find a desk towels, plastic fork
3) Designs are on the desk if you need to reference it
4) Name on the bottom of your paper
5) Do not remove the tape

Tell students how long they have to finish.

If you finish early (on the TV):

1) Make sure you are happy wth your piece - is there anything else
you can add?
2) Leave your painting on the table to dry
3) Wash your brushes and fork and put them back
4) Rubbish in the bin
5) Grab an iPad and upload a photograph of your painting to Seesaw
6) Answer the reflection questions in the comments

Extension Activity reflection questions: (on slide and board) iPads


1) Why did you choose these colours?
2) What did you find challenging?
3) What do you like about your artwork?

Lesson Closure:(Review lesson objectives with students)

1:50pm Give students a 5min warning at 1:50pm (finish last details).

At 1:55pm give students 10 mins to pack up and sit on the mat.

Reflect on the lesson.
