1. Introduction: Preliminary Activity

2. Motivation: Video Presentation (Are You Human?)


1. What do you understand about the self and how it is related to personality?
Activity A:
•The teacher will show a video presentation. After that, the teacher will then
ask the learners:

3. Instruction and Delivery:
 The teacher will introduce the topic (Knowing Oneself).
Big Question: How can understanding oneself pave the way to self-acceptance
and better relationship with others?
Activity B: (SELF-CONCEPT INVENTORY)
 After the activity, the students will answer the following questions:
1. In what areas do you consider yourself strong (with score 14-16 or somewhat weak
(score of 10-13) and very weak (below 10)?
2. Are there qualities you consider as your weakness but other people consider as your
strength? What are these? Check with a partner.

4. Practice:
Activity D: (SYMBOL AND ICON REPRESENTATIONS)
 The students will draw a symbol or icon or avatar which will represent them as persons,
then, share this with the other members of their group.
 Shuffle the members of the group so they can share their drawings with other students.
5. Enrichment:
Big Question: How can understanding oneself pave the way to self-acceptance
and better relationship with others?
Activity E: “Tag Me” (1/4 sheets of paper)
 Make the students write down positive descriptions and impressions of their other
classmates as they want. When everyone is finished, tell the student to help each
other remove the colored paper on their backs and give these to the person these
papers were stuck to. Ask the students to share their feelings and thoughts about
what their classmates wrote down about them.
6. Evaluation: The learners are expected to have a short assessment test (ESSAY).
1. Explain the quotation: “To love oneself is the beginning of a lifetime romance.”
 Ask the students to write down their feelings and reflections on their Journals.
