Area of Investigation

ICCT Colleges Foundation Inc. Cainta Campus was located in the V. V

Soliven II Ave.Cainta, Rizal, Philippines near in Sta. Lucia Mall. The largest higher

education provider in the Province of Rizal, Philippines. They offer CHED, DEPED and

TESDA recognized programs. It exists under the law of the Republic of the Philippines

and offers courses that are accredited by Commission on Higher Education (CHED),

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and as well as industry

accredited certificates. The Institute of Creative Computer Technology was originally

established in Rizal by Dr. William S. Co on 15 December 1992 because Dr. Co wanted

to help the people of Rizal acquire skills in computer technology. By 1994, they began

offering four-year degree programs. With the passage of Republic Act No. 7722 of the

Higher Education Act of 1994, privately controlled educational institution's academic

fees were deregulated. Unlike the other universities and colleges who used this as an

most value for money. Until today, ICCT Colleges continues to provide the most

affordable tuition fees. This makes it stand out among its peers. In 2002, the name of

Chapter 1

Introduction:

Computer Technology was officially changed to ICCT Colleges Foundation Inc. Seventh
campus The ground breaking ceremony of the Taytay campus was held in early 2009,
headed by the Chairman, Dr. William S. Co and President, Dr. Consuelo L. Co. Eighth
campus Official Student Publication News Bytes, the official student publication of the
college, has an office on the 3rd floor of the main building in the Cainta campus,
releasing an issue each term.

ICCT Colleges, is a tertiary education provider with campuses located in the

Province of Rizal, Philippines. In Rizal it has campuses in the towns of Cainta,
Sumulong Hi-Way (Cainta), San Mateo, Cogeo, Antipolo, Taytay, Binangonan and
Angono. Course offerings include Arts & Sciences, Business, Computer, Criminology,
Education, Engineering, Health Sciences, Hospitality Management and other short term
certificate programs.

Statement of the problem

This study will support and manage special examination transactions and
services in ICCT Colleges Foundation Inc.
Software for a design of Special Examination in response to the problems in the
current manual special examination services and transactions are enumerated below:

General Problem
The major problem of the existing system is time consuming.
Specific Problem
 Lack of Security. The data of the manual special examination were not secured
with respect to the confidentiality of reports and documents of special
examination transactions.

 Lack of data storage. There were lot of Files, report and documents which are
not well-accommodated/Saved.

Scope and Limitation

The study covered the design and implementation of a computer based Special
examination system with multifactor authentication with message notification and
automatic email for result.
The limitations of the system to be designed are as follow:
 This examination system is designed for Educational Institutions
 The system supports only multiple choice question
 The system would enrol
 Computations or essay type of answer are not supported.

 Each account is deactivated after each trimester.

 The system generate report thru email he/she pass the examination.

 The system cannot generate exam without internet connection.

 The type of question is only multiple choice and true or false only.

Objectives of Study

Objectively, this project sets out main purpose for its relevance. Firstly, that the

success of this project will be crucial in explaining its adoption by the ICCT

College Foundation Inc. Secondly that the Special Examination result are secure

within the database that stores examination results Lastly, that it is simple and

easily understood by the end users

 Reduce the level of examination malpractices and improve the credibility of the

end of the examination session
