I. Community Selection
The community that our group for NSTP CO1 will be choosing is one
that will be needing assistance in their daily livelihood.

II. Target Recipient

To our fellow Filipino’s who are in need we are ready to provide them
with the necessary appliances for a community day care center/school for
youth, or giving food supplies to those who desperately need assistance.

III. Description of the Project

The project aims to be able to provide assistance to one community
and to provide them with items that might be useful for their productivity
such as tables, chairs, fans, ventilation equipment, lights and other
materials that will be useful in their daily activities. Or we can provide a
feeding program that will assist those who are in need.

IV. Objectives
A. General Objectives
The general objective of the project is to continue improving the
education for the younger children by providing school materials and
etc. for the day care center in our target community.

B. Specific Objectives
 To conduct fund raising through sale of siomai.
 To buy needed school materials like pencils, note books, books,
coloring materials pad papers.
 To buy tables, chairs and any learning equipment that the day
care center may need.
 To comply with the requirements of our community service.
 And to implement and document the project accurately.

V. Scope and Limitations of the Project

The proposed project involves an amount worth of PHP 6,000
minimum target proceeds to raise from initial capital, PHP 1,000, invested
accordingly to the sales plan. The profit will go directly to the chosen Day
Care Center in Manila; a help to provide basic teaching materials.
The fund-raising covers 12 members, individually assigned to sell 2
packs of homemade siomai per week tantamount to 24 packs weekly.
Starting from 3rd week of December 2018 to the last week of February
2019. Accumulating a minimum of 240 to 264 packs expectedly sold after
the time allotment.
Any exceeds from the mentioned conditions and scope is nullified.

VI. Significance of the Project

In recognition the fund raising project in NSTP2, we the members of
Siomai Garden under the direction of Sir. Adrian Duque had held a fund
raising project in order to help a day care center by providing enough school
supplies for the children. Each member of the group has contributed to help
shape a bright future for the children in the day care center. All of this was
done for the betterment of the children through giving them proper
materials for learning and studying.

VII. Methodology
In order to accomplish this project each members have contributed
enough money to raise a capital. The capital was used to buy stocks of
siomai which will be distributed to each member and are given the task to
be sold in their respective places, to their friends, family members, relatives,
and to others who are willing to support the fund raising for the day care
center. The money that will be earned thru selling the siomai will be
collected to raise a fund of 6,000 Pesos. This fund will then be used to buy
school supplies for the day care center.

IX. Results

X. Summary
The first week of the class started by a brief discussion with Professor
Adrian Duque about the primary problem/s communities in the Philippines
have been facing today. The discussion led the whole class in emerging
different groups that create fundraising projects with a target proceeds
worth of 6,000 pesos, respectively.
On the second week of class, the planning part continued. Our team
came up with different ideas and eventually ended up with selling packs of
homemade siomai. This includes the determination of charity and raising of
initial funds that accumulated of 1650 pesos. On the next succeeding week,
the selling continued. Every week the funding gathered collective profit
worth of 600 pesos. The fundraising happened in 10 consecutive weeks and
gathered a total of 6,600 pesos.
As we reached the target proceeding amount, the team surrendered
the proceeds to our professor. The money will be able to avail notebooks,
pencils, and the like.

XI. Conclusions and Recommendations

A. Conclusions
In conclusion our efforts to raise the 6000 pesos will be used to
help those who are in need and we as FEU-TECH NSTP CO1
students will always be more than willing to help as long as it
will be within the scope of our limitations and reach.

B. Recommendations
 The future team must conduct a charitable interview to their
chosen charity and personally ask their needs to provide them
accordingly.
 Strategic plan shall be made in accordance to the available
resources of the team members.
 The plan must be presented to the advising head of the class to
ensure its validity and probability.
 Create items that can sustain the charity even after the program
has ended.
XII. Individual Output/Learning

As a group we had a lot of challenges, from getting stocks of siomai to distribution and
sales. We had to assign different people to get and take care of the product before hand so we
can make sure that each member will be able to get their product for distribution on time for
it not to spoil. On top of that we all had different schedules so the coordination had to be on
point since we only meet once a week for NSTP. But with the right leadership and teamwork
provided by all group members we were able to succeed in earning the 6000 pesos that was
needed and we know that we can accomplish any task moving forward as a team.

I personally had fun with this group project specially being the team leader. Not only was it a
big task for us to come up with a fund raiser but being able to co-manage our group with my
fellow officers with the mind set that this will be for the benefit of our fellow countrymen.
I would like to take this opportunity to mention and thank my co officers that worked very hard
to make sure that everything ran like clockwork for our group. To the signing of attendance
done by our secretary, making sure that everything is done on time and properly. To our group
treasurer who always made time to collect the earnings and redistribute it for new stocks.
(since we all had different schedules, he had to make time to meet all members.) And to the
Assistant Leader who helped me manage and make sure that everyone is informed and given
the proper instructions on what to do and guide members if ever they had questions and I am
not around. Most of all, to all the members of the group I want to thank them for giving it their
best and making sure that we meet our target at the given deadline. This project wouldn’t be
possible if they did not give it their 110%. This has been a very fulfilling experience and we are
looking forward to what our contribution to the NSTP project will do for the younger generation.
TIONGSON, James Michiko B.
To raise a fund of that amount is not that easy but with the cooperation oh the
group members with the help of our Prof. Sir. Adrian Duque the project becomes a
blessing rather than a burden. Starting a business with a cause is one tricky way of
earning fund because we do not know how many would by and how many would not,
but it takes a little bit of sales talking and a big part of working hard, doing your part. I
remembered the first time distributing the packs of siomai to each member of the group
and it seems that I can’t stop thinking of how would they sell it how would they find
people who are willing to buy the product even though they haven’t tasted it. At first it
seems somewhat impossible to me but after the first week of selling siomai and after
every member of the group had sold their share of siomai we received feed backs to the
people who bought the product and it turned out that they liked it and after that more
siomai has been sold after the first week.

Raising a fund for a reason was a lifechanging experience. I have come to understand
that helping was always a humans way to show love and care for other people. The
project was a success as well as the lesson I’ve learned was one that I will treasure the
most.

CAMO, Russel

The Siomai Garden project started plainly just for the reason to comply with the
requirements of nstp2 program. I still remember how I doubted the vision of this
program in easing the problem of our community which happened to be discussed by
my Professor, Adrian Duque. But as the project runs and as a team treasurer, seeing the
eagerness of my co-members to help our chosen charity seen from their efforts in
rendering part of their hectic schedules just to sell our items, made me believed that
there must something more in this job that I was not able to determine myself in the
previous weeks. But from time to time, whenever I audit the update on the fundings
and notice that it really gets more realistic, I realized that if there is anything that I need
to make myself believe first, it is my ability to help, and last believe to the people you
will help.
“Working in some of the poorest areas of my country, I found that it was a lack
of child support not poverty that killed their dreams. A child once told me, 'Cat, it's just
not my life and those dreams are not for me' but I stand here today because someone
believed in me and we owe it to our children to believe in them.” Miss Universe 2019
Catriona Gray said on her statement on the top 15 round. I learned that change really
does start within self and next to the people around us. If we could just make our minds
believe that we can make difference by believing, our soul will be fed and our community
will be reached out.

CABERTO, Marc Joshua

NSTP has become one of the challenging subjects that we had this term.
Everyone's main goal was to sell the product. It was a challenge in each group how to
come up or achieve the target amount set by the professor in a certain period. It has
been a challenge to us. I realized that it is not that easy to become a salesperson. Since
we worked in group, we needed to be responsible in every task assigned to us. Self-
restraint, compassion, resourceful and strategic planning were put up in a test. There
was a time that the member did not show up for no reason so we looked someone who
is willing to take his place for the selling. When it happened that the money from the
sold product was not returned to the group, we drawn money from the fund to buy
another product to be sold again to cover the deficit. I learned that I have to know
exactly what I want to accomplish so that I can plan it accordingly and should be
determined to do something during difficulty or hindrances that come.
DEL MUNDO, Cielo R.

My main contribution to the group was mainly to sell the products that we need
to sell which is the "Siomai". Every member was given a task to sell the products to
other people and once we are done, The leader will collect the money for the funds of
our NSTP2. Things I learned in NSTP2 it's always good to share your opinion and
thoughts so that the group can have different perspectives on how we can tackle
different problems throughout the NSTP2.
DURADO, Uriel L.

Our group's objective is to accumulate 6000 worth of money from selling any kind
of product. Our group decided to sell Siomai since it is the most hit food for college.
Every member is tasked to sell 2 bags of siomai worth 200 each bag. After selling, the
money we collected will go straight to the leader to buy the things we need to donate
to our designated location.
In this program, I learned that sharing is caring. A simple act of selling will help
a lot of people who are in need. In this program we can help children who are desperate
to learn but in lack of things about learning or school things.
MAMANAO, Julius Stephen J.

My part in our group activity is to sell our product siomai. Selling it was difficult
for me, yet it makes me happy to see some people eating it and thinking that the money
they pay for the siomai will be given for the funds in our NSTP. I learned that it need
patience, and asking some recommendations and opinions from my group mates to
avoid and adjust the different problems I encountered during I sell those siomai.
PANGANIBAN, Jeremy Mark E.

Each member of the group was tasked to sell our product (Siomai) to conform
with our quota which amounts to six thousand pesos. What I did with the product
assigned to me was sell it to my neighbor. Once all the products were sold, the funds
will be collected by our leader from each member to be submitted to our professor which
will then be donated to the people in need.

I learned a lot of things throughout this fund raising project but what I can mainly
point out is that we should be thankful for the things we have and we should be able to
take action to help those unfortunate people who are in need.
UMALI, Lorenz Dharyl Q.

As a member of the group, most of us were assigned to sell the products that the
group have agreed to sell. This product was siomai dumplings. We were given a certain
amount of siomai to sell around our neighbourhood in order to profit. Once we sell all
our products, we will have to give the money earned back to our leader on the next
meeting. During our time in NSTP2, I have learned how to endorse products and obtain
profit easily for the greater good. These funds is going to be used to help the
beneficiaries of our group.
