program where students organize, manage and operate their own business enterprises under the
guidance of JA Philippines and Rex Book Store Inc. with the assistance of successful executives from
business firms.

The program aims to train the students in operating a “mini-company” from capitalization to
liquidation. They will formulate their own goals and objectives, and raise capital, organize a board,
elect officers, manufacture, promote and market their product(s), maintain their own records and
files pay their operating expenses, compile a six-month financial statements, and finally liquidate the
company by returning capital plus dividend (depending on whether the company was successful and
profitable). The JA Mini-Company will not necessarily be registered in any government agencies. At
the end of the business simulation, students should undergo online assessment test to gauge the
learning outcomes.

The said program will lead to a national competition and an opportunity to represent our country to
compete in the Asia Pacific Regional Competition happening in the Philippines in line with its 50th
Anniversary for the 2019 JA Company of the Year Asia Pacific Competition.

The BSP program does not end in the classroom. Students in the BSP program will gain key
