As a devotee hears more and more about the Supreme Lord, he becomes
enlightened. This hearing process is recommended in the Çrémad-Bhägavatam:
"The messages of the Supreme Personality of Godhead are full of potencies, and
these potencies can be realized if topics regarding the Supreme Godhead are
discussed amongst devotees." This cannot be achieved by the association of
mental speculators or academic scholars, for it is realized knowledge.

The devotees are constantly engaged in the Supreme

Lord's service. The Lord understands the mentality and
sincerity of a particular living entity who is engaged in
Kåñëa consciousness and gives him the intelligence to
understand the science of Kåñëa in the association of
devotees. Discussion of Kåñëa is very potent, and if a
fortunate person has such association and tries to
assimilate the knowledge, then he will surely make
advancement toward spiritual realization.
The words idaà jïänam ("this knowledge") refer to pure
devotional service, which consists of nine different
activities: hearing, chanting, remembering, serving,
worshiping, praying, obeying, maintaining friendship
and surrendering everything. By the practice of these
nine elements of devotional service one is elevated to
spiritual consciousness, Kåñëa consciousness. When
one's heart is thus cleared of material contamination,
one can understand this science of Kåñëa. Simply to
understand that a living entity is not material is not
sufficient. That may be the beginning of spiritual
realization, but one should recognize the difference
between activities of the body and the spiritual
activities of one who understands that he is not the
body.
The Sanskrit word anasüyave in this verse is also very significant.
Generally the commentators, even if they are highly scholarly, are
all envious of Kåñëa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Even the
most erudite scholars write on Bhagavad-gétä very inaccurately.
Because they are envious of Kåñëa, their commentaries are useless.
The commentaries given by devotees of the Lord are bona fide. No
one can explain Bhagavad-gétä or give perfect knowledge of Kåñëa
if he is envious. One who criticizes the character of Kåñëa without
knowing Him is a fool. So such commentaries should be very
carefully avoided. For one who understands that Kåñëa is the
Supreme Personality of Godhead, the pure and transcendental
Personality, these chapters will be very beneficial.

ISKCON Pune under the guidance of HG Radheshyam Prabhu has been the torch bearer in
youth preaching for past many years. Youth preachers from various parts of India and other
countries with great earnestness come to learn the spirit and the ways & means for attracting the
youths to Krishna Consciousness. For past many years, ISKCON Pune has been organizing
YPTC to facilitate the youth preachers.

This was organized from 20th to 23rd April & was attended by 75 devotees from different parts of
India and even from Bangladesh. The devotees were divided into 3 groups, to cater to their exact
needs.
• Level 1 had topics like Art of awareness creation in a new College, Giving Powerful
Presentations, Roles of a facilitator.
• Level 2 had topics like VOICE standards, Do's and Don’ts of Counselling and Dealing with
Parents, Friends and Relatives.
• Level 3 had sessions like how to train devotees to join their respective ashrams.
Esteemed Faculty:
These sessions were given by the most experienced devotees like HG Antardvipa Prabhu, HG
Kanai Thakur Prabhu, HG Acyuta Mohan Prabhu, HG Amshu Prabhu, HG Shadbhuja
Gauranga Prabhu, HG Vraja Krishna Prabhu and HG Rasapati Prabhu who are successfully

the youth preachers who had come for the YPTC.

YPTC attendees went to different VOICEs and YOGAs like VIT, GGD, VIIT and Mithila to see
the practical things happening at the ground level. Both the parties were benefitted by this as

Mentoring:
The participants, who wanted personal guidance in their respective areas, were given
experienced facilitators from Pune. Devotees took several valuable inputs to improve their youth
preaching. In one of the classes, HG Acyuta Mohan Prabhu cited the story of the 'the penicillin
medicine', how the workers of the factory became enthusiastic to produce more medicine seeing
the people benefitting from the medicine. He brought out the lesson that that if we don’t go out
and endeavor to preach this message of KC and give youth the medicine of Holy-name and see it
working in peoples' lives then we will not come to know how fortunate we are.

Conclusion:
The entire event concluded with a common session by HG Antardvipa Prabhu and there was a
very enthusiastic dancing kirtan. There was also a common photo session for all participants and
youth preachers from Pune, in the presence of HG Radheshyam Prabhu.

It was a pleasant experience for 4 days in midst of so many wonderful Vaishnava’s. Topics like
“vibrant BC ashram”, “prayers and penances before preaching” & field visit to VOICE has inspired
me a lot to apply in my personal preaching areas. I thank all the devotees especially HG
Radheshyam Prabhu & HG Antardvipa Prabhu for enlightening me. Prasadam, accommodation &
other facilities were quite satisfying. I would like to attend all such future camps.

the nice facility of stay and Prasadam and expert management services.

Magarpatta Corporate Youth Program
13 IT Professionals from various companies attended a Date: 7th April
Corporate Youth Program at Magarpatta, hosted by HG Participants: 13 IT Professionals
Anand Balaram Prabhu, where he elaborated beautiful Topic: Corporate Lessons from
lessons from Ramayana pastimes. Few such lessons were: Ramayana
Speaker: HG Anand Balaram
1. Lessons from Hanuman bringing Sanjeevani herbs:
Prabhu
a) We should always be accountable and ready to take
initiatives.
b) We should check, which amongst below three category do we belong to:
i. Make things happen
ii. Mere observers or
iii. People who just ask questions
2. From Lord Ram's example we learn:
a) To not create trouble for others by our behaviour
b) To have a sweet & pleasing speech
c) Avoid duplicity and politics
3. Hanuman’s hard struggle to search Mother Sita teaches us:
To never lose heart and continue with fixed determination.
In the Drama, following 4 conclusive lessons were
presented:
1) Do your duties without greed for result and be satisfied
by what you get by God’s mercy. Today’s world focuses on
results and not on righteous duty.
2) For healthy relationships & good communications -
Embrace good principles & refrain from bad attitudes.
3) Be Responsible & Never be Hasty while making big
decisions in your life. Always consult.
4) Do not keep bad association as it poisons one’s good
attitude by evoking & creating insecurity, greed, lust, envy,
etc. in one’s mind. Thus it impels one to do mad things,
leading to inglorious & fatalistic results in one’s life.
The participants appreciated the program very much. It
was followed by Feast Prasadam for all. - Shishir Anand Prabhu (Mithila YOGA)

"Such programs are very good for corporate youths who are facing constant changing features of this
world. They come across many good and bad situations in their lives and they forget to put duties or
dharma over immediate promises of temptations. Thus they are misled and cheated.“
- Yogesh Dhotre, Capsilon
"Mr. Anand Patil Sir’s talk & PPT were very good. It was relevant and thought provoking. He was
convincing in his points. He explained many practical lessons from Ramayana for our lives. He made us
feel that this epic is still useful in today’s time.“ - Shiv Jaiswal, Amdocs
"I liked the point in drama about not keeping bad association.“ - Ganesh Huble, Red Hat

dear most to Him. Prabhuji mentioned that this Krishna Adhikari Prabhu
Consciousness movement will continue for the next 10,000 No of Participants: 100
years and after that, the horror movie of Kali Yuga will

Bhagavatam. When we preach with sincerity, we become
dear to Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Srila Prabhupada and
the entire Guru Parampara. Thus, the more we dedicate our
hearts to Krishna’s service, the more we confirm our ticket
to go back home, back to Godhead.
Prabhuji also emphasised that one should preach with
maturity. Maturity means preaching in a way that people
can appreciate this movement. Two powerful weapons to - Sudhanshu Prabhu (SRKD
preach Krishna Consciousness are Krishna Prasadam and VOICE) & HG Shridhar Prabhu
the Holy name.
