iMovie Bonus!

Make sure you read the original course first before jumping into this one...

If you came here after reading the part of the pdf where I tell you to come here to learn
about imovie...there is no need to return back to read the rest....it is in it's entirety on this
pdf from this point on as well...if that made sense lol.

On with it Lyfe! Enough of your babble!

So in this bonus course I'm going to show you have to make a video for youtube in
imovie...some features will be similar to windows movie maker if you are using that as
well. Remember you can also use the online movie maker I mentioned in the original
course...it's really fast and easy to use...just drop....click and download your
movie..seriously it's that easy.

There are however a lot of editing features in imovie and windows movie maker that the
online version doesn't have..so here we go!
Create a new project
Go to File>New Project
also File>New Event
1. Select No theme
2. Change to 4x3
3. 30 fps
4. Create!
Next drag and drop all your images from your folder at once here.
(we are only using 10 images for windows movie maker and imovie)
Go to:
File>Project Properties

1. Change to 4x3
2. Change duration to 6 seconds
3. Applies to all photos...for future use also
4. ok!
Add Text
==Important note: If your just adding videos to youtube only...you can skip the text part
and just have images..go straight to the exporting section....below I show you how to
add text very easily within youtube.
If you are going to be adding videos to other videos sites such as metacafe..aol video
etc...follow these steps to add text.

1. Click the “T” button to activate text options below it

2. Click the Upper Text option...then drag it to the box where your pictures are
already at
3. Drag Here
4. Drag the text bar the length of the entire 60 second video to the very end
We want to ad text at the top of the video ONLY...
This is due to Google lovely ad placement at the bottom
 1. Make sure you underline your url...makes it stand out and look “clickable”
2. Click system front panel to get to extra editing font options

Add your unique text:

Next add a caption and url in the video...you will be able to adjust the color...size
and style by click on “show fonts”.

Here I've added:

In the next screen you will see I updated the caption...you
need to have an action word in the text...such as..visit..or go to...etc.

Examples:

Let's say you are linking your video to a site on how to snowboard...
The caption might read:

For more tips and articles on how to snowboard Click here:

www.snowboardsite.com

Football site?

For the latest stats and updates visit:

www.footballstats.com

Selling a product?
To get the lowest prices online for rings...go to:

==Next play your video back to make sure everything is looking good and in place.
Exporting...

(instead of using the “export to youtube option) we are doing it manually so we can
make sure the file name is our keyword how we want it)
Next we are going to export..or save the video.

Click on Share>export using Quicktime

1. Click on options
2. File name is keyword..with dash only...example acoustic-guitar
3. Click on size
4. Select as current
5. Click Ok!
 1. Click settings
2. mpeg-4 video
3. Frame rate 30 fps
4. Key Frames Automatic
5. Automatic Data range
6. Best quality compression
7. ok!

Click Save and it will export into your file.

Check the video and make sure it plays well.

Should take about 1 minute to export

Wait...how boring...where is the music!

Don't worry about that...youtube lets you easily

add free music with your video....don't add music you don't have the rights to...we
want your video to stay up!

VERY IMPORTANT

Go to the file your video is saved in...we are going to rename it...

In our example we are going to rename it:

acoustic-guitar
Make sure you put a “dash” between each of your keywords...

You are going to rename it your keyword and nothing else...no extra numbers or letters
or spaces...nothing.

Youtube Time!
If you don't have a youtube account....go thru the steps of signing up here:
www.youtube.com/create_account
After you create an account click the “upload” button at the very top:

Click “select files from your computer”

Go into the folder where you saved the video...make sure you renamed it your
keyword with dash...very important.

Many people make the mistake of just naming the video whatever they please...like
384748guitar...or mpelhshd.flv.....keep everything keyword related only!
 1. ++IMPORTANT...rename the title as your keyword ONLY...nothing else fancy. I
know this goes against everything you see...but most things you see are not done
right online.
2. URL goes FIRST!!! you see so many people not even putting a url there....and if
they do they put it after the paragraph....users are going to click on your link more
if its the first link they see below the video..not text..also make sure you use
http:// before every url to make it clickable
3. Keyword only....one keyword set
4. Choose your thumbnail..choose the best pic of your 10
5. Public....we want the world to see it :)
6. Category....select the one that is closest to your niche....though it might not be on
there...just pick whatever is nearest to it
7. Green check when it's good to go!
The orange warning may pop up for you....we will add music later.

Advanced settings:
 1. Click advanced settings
2. Allowing comments...I just leave this blank...we aren't doing a fancy movie so I
just uncheck it...you can check it and leave it as approved only if your going to be
updating and checking it.
3. Users can vote...I just leave this blank...we aren't doing a fancy movie so I just
uncheck it...
4. Users can rate...I just leave this blank...we aren't doing a fancy movie so I just
uncheck it...
5. Video responses...generally I wont approve video as the user may be more apt to
click that video response than your url...
6. Syndication...yes put it everywhere!
7. Embedding...yes...everywhere again

Make sure to save all your changes at the bottom!

Music and Text time!

Next click the “manage videos” link on the top right

You should see your video listed there:

Click the down arrow next to the edit button to the right of the video

Then select “enhancements”

1. Click Audio
2. Select the song you want to use...don't upload your own music unless you own
the rights to it or have 100% access to usage...it's best just to use the free music
on youtube...safer that way. Also make sure you get a song similar to the length
of the video...close to a minute...doesn't have to be exact.
3. Save it!
Adding Text

1. Click annotations
2. Add annotation (select speech bubble)
3. Type in the text you're going to use:
4. Select size 16 ...white text...blue background..you can of course alter these based
on the video your using..just use what will stand out best for your video.
5. Important...make sure you extend the cursor here to play the whole length of the
video..you want your caption and url to be on here the whole time.
6. Publish!

What phrases to use in the bubble annotation..this is key:

We want to add text at the top of the video ONLY...

The user can then click the link at the bottom...or just type in your url directly to get to
your page!
Important...this will save you tons of time!
Want to save tons of time by uploading all the videos you made to your site at once! You
just need to enter your tags...description url etc one time...and it will upload your videos
at once to tons of sites for you...will save you hours and hours of time for sure.

If you don't have a short url you can also space it out..such as
instead of orangejoggingpants.com in the text write
www.orange jogging pants.com (make sure you use the actual url in the description
though).

How to get keywords for your videos..

Youtube users are going to be doing different searches then they would if they were on
Google....here's a great way to find very relevant and searched for keywords on youtube.

Notice in the image above...how I simply typed in “acoustic guitars”

It then brought up other things people type in based around that main keyword...
You now have an idea for 9 more videos to upload!

But how will my videos even rank to get views to make money?

This comes back to using your keywords in “key” places.

We have the video file named only in our keyword...no one does this...
We have our title in only our keyword..our pics saved in our keyword...our tags in
just our keyword...our description with our url...(which sometimes has the keyword in
it) and in the description we also have our keyword.

When a user types in “acoustic guitars” youtube looks at all the videos and data it has
related to acoustic guitars...when it see's your file name...title...tags...description all with
the same keyword....they favor you...as they have me..for years now. It's similar to how
Google gives domains with the exact keywords in it favor over other sites...it sees it as
more relevant.

More Methods!
Some other ways you can make videos...

You don't have to just upload pics and do a simple slide show with
just a text and caption of your url.

Let's say you own a review site...and you are reviewing the top 3 acoustic guitars.
You can upload several different pictures of each guitar...then make text about the
features and pricing of each guitar....this will of course be a longer video...but will
engage the user more as well.

Another level to take it...

Use a microphone..you can still just have pictures...but instead of text just talk to them
about each guitar.
Again this will engage the user even further when they feel like you are talking directly
to them about a purchase they are very interested in.

One more level...

Get in front of the camera...explain to them the features and benefits of each guitar you
are reviewing. This puts even more trust with the user and they will be even more apt to
buy.

This kind of traffic will be really targeted and your purchase rate should show such.
Again to get your video ranked...no matter what video you are doing...make sure you
incorporate the exact same set up as far as naming the file...description...tags etc. This
will help your video rank higher.

Take your review videos and upload them to many different sites.

More sites will equal more traffic..more sales and leads.

This isn't just for review sites...but take these tips and apply them to the site your are
going to promote.

Revenue Time!

Now let's go over some revenue possibilities... $200 a day or more...watch how we get
there:

So let's say you do 10 different videos on youtube...don't just upload the same video 9
more times...load 9 more very different videos related to your site.

So you now have 10 different videos on youtube...you can then take those same
videos..and upload them to 9 more video sites. (these other sites wont have the easy
annotation method that youtube has..but you can just add text on the video in the online
movie maker as well as imovie etc...you can also search for royalty free music and add it
as well).

So we now have 100 videos!

Let's say each video gets 3,000 views a month...that's pretty low..only about 100 views
a day per video.

So for your 10 videos you would have 300,000 views a month!

NOTICE--by the way do not spam youtube with tons of videos...this method is white hat
and not about spamming...you want to build your business on a solid foundation...not on
one that may crash any minute because your spamming up the earth:)

About 5-10%+ of the the viewers will click your link or just type in the url to your site
directly. (can be much higher based on your video and site etc..)
Let's go with an average and say 7%
You now have 21,000 users to your site....
Now these will be very targeted users...if someone goes in and types in “how to play
the guitar” on youtube...and they click on your video for more information about
guitars..then they go to your site about guitars....it's very targeted for sure.

So let's say we are selling a course or ebook on how to play the guitar...either
something you made or as an affiliate.

21,000 very targeted users to your site...

Let's say 1% buy your product...
That's 210 sales
For each sale you get $30

Over $200 a day

That's $6300 in a month...

Let's say only .05% (that's half of 1% actually buy your product:
$3150
But what if 2% purchase?
$12,600

Remember these are very targeted users...

Let's review the stats again:

10 unique videos
Uploaded to 10 different video sites

100 videos total

3,000 views per month each video
300,000 views total for all videos combined
Average 7% youtube users click link or type in url
21,000 unique targeted visitors to your website
1% purchase your offer
$30 per Sale
$6300 in Sales in 1 month
From 10 unique videos

Cost to get the traffic to your site= ZERO

This method DOES work...as I've said I am still making money from the first few
videos I did 5 years ago..I've never touched the videos or the sites since then.

I have videos on youtube using that method that have over 250,000 views..and they
reached that amount very fast. I'm not saying every video you upload will have that
much...it's all going to depend on the niche etc of course...just the potential for this is
huge.

CPC costs
How much would 21,000 targeted users cost you using pay per click?

In case you thought just that one keyword cost that much....look at the average price
per click for these longer tail keywords:

Wow this is taken right from my Google Adwords account...

So if I were to run a campaign to put an ad on Google search page..
It would cost me:
21,000 clicks x .82 a click on average
-$17,220
This is just for one month....what about the next month? Yes another -$17,220....

On youtube your getting traffic month after month...even year after year like me....100%
Free....it makes you think twice about paying for traffic now doesn't it?

Dont forget about that video uploading software I mentioned earlier!
