HOMEMADE Granola
3 cup rolled oats ½ cup butter
1 cup slivered almonds or walnuts 1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon ¼ tsp salt
¼ cup plus 2 Tbsp brown sugar 1 cup raisins
¼ cup plus 2 Tbsp honey ½ cup dried fruits of your choice
Preheat oven to 400 ˚F. Line a rectangular baking pan with foil. Spray with
nonstick cooking spray. In a bowl, combine oats, almonds and cinnamon.
Combine brown sugar, honey and butter in a medium saucepan and cook
over medium heat until butter melts and mixture begins to boil. Stir in vanilla
and salt. Remove from heat. Pour butter mixture over oats, mixing until well
coated. Transfer to prepared pan and, using a spatula, press oats evenly into
