Background
Based on the revised Test Procedure TEC/TP/EMF/001/04.JUN 2018 there are changes in the
Calculation Method Survey requirement mentioned in Section 13.1.2 & 13.1.8(2).

Roof Top Sites
Site Creation

o While capturing Building height include non-accessible areas like LMR, HMR, Water tank
etc.

Site Survey

Corner details

o Only one entry will be available to enter height which will be taken for the calculation.
o For roof top sites while entering Corner Height, Building Roof floor level excluding non-
accessible areas LMR, HMR, Water tank etc to be captured.

Adjacent building details

o Adjacent Building Latitude, Longitude, No. of Floors, Distance (in mts) and Azimuth (in
deg) to be provided by the user.
o Calculated Distance will be auto calculated by the system w.r.t to the site latitude and
longitude.

 ▪ Distance will be validated, and it should be 1 to 60mtrs.
o Calculated Latitude/Longitude (based on Azimuth & Distance provided by user) will
be available to cross check Latitude/Longitude provided by the user.

Representative Location (on the ground nearest to B0 within 60mtrs)

o Latitude and Longitude of the representative location to be provided by the user.

o Distance will be auto calculated by the system w.r.t to the site latitude and longitude.
o Distance will be validated, and it should be less 60mtrs.
o EIRP calculation will be done on this representative location.

Site Layout

• Only one corner height will be displayed.

Building layout
o Adjacent Building Latitude, Longitude, Height of the building and Distance will be displayed.

Ground based Sites

o Corner details – they are no changes w.r.t capturing corner details.

o Adjacent building details – the changes will be same as roof top sites.
o Representative location - Latitude and longitude of the representative location is taken from
site latitude and longitude.
o As per the new guideline corner calculation is replaced with B0 and is restricted to only roof
top sites.

EIRP Bulk Survey Upload

o New fields Latitude & Longitude should be provided for each building.
o New fields to capture Latitude, Longitude of a representative location on road/ public
walkway should be provided for Roof top sites.

• User must exclude non-accessible areas like LMR, HMR, Water tank etc. while capturing
corner height.

Adjacent building details

o User must provide No. of floors, Distance (in mts) and Azimuth in deg.
o Adjacent building latitude and longitude can be auto captured or manually it can be entered
by the user.

Representative location

• Representative location can be auto captured or manually it can be entered by the user.

Ground based sites

o Adjacent building details – the changes will be same as roof top sites.
o Representative location cannot be entered.

Appendix
Existing Survey
Roof Top Sites

• Existing locked surveys can’t be used for Self-Certificate generation

o User has to start new survey, existing locked survey details will be copied to the new
survey.
• When the user is starting a new survey, user will be prompted to verify Building 0 (B0) height
and Corner Height.

Building 0 (B0)

• User must verify whether the captured Building height is inclusive of non-accessible areas like
LMR, HMR, Water tank etc.

Corner details

• User must exclude non-accessible areas like LMR, HMR, Water tank etc. while capturing
corner height.
• In cases where all the corner heights are not equal, the highest height will be auto
populated from the existing survey.

Adjacent building details

• User must verify adjacent building details copied from existing survey.

Representative location

• Representative location to be provided by the user.

Ground based Sites

• Existing surveys can be used as is for the generation of self-certificate, no changes required.
