PRACTICAL RESEARCH 2 (QUANTITATIVE)

GENERAL RULES
1. This assessment rubric will be used in evaluating your Second Mastery Examination in Practical Research 2.
2. The total score for Chapters 2 and 3 (Review of Related Literature and Research Methodology) will be your
Second Mastery Examination composed of different areas.
3. Your research instructor will rate the output based on the rubrics below. In this case, whatever is the grade in each
area will automatically be the score of the research moderator with the approval of the associates.
4. Remember, areas 1- in Chapters 2 and 3 will be considered WRITTEN WORKS.
5. The research moderator will rate his/her associates based on the gravity of effort shared. The moderator MUST see
to it that there is a proper basis for the grade he/she will give. The grading will be done in front of the research
associates to avoid biases/personal gains but subject to the assessment of the research instructor based on the
participation of the all members in the team. Therefore, the instructor has the full authority to change the score.
6. ONLY Area 6 that all researchers share the same score.
7. The score given will be final and irrevocable.
8. Make sure to put the corrected versions of your output as this will be final and irrevocable except for suggestions
and recommendations by your research instructor.
9. Submit your output on or before October 2, 2017. The submission is until 6:00 pm ONLY. Late submission is a
deduction of 10 points every single day
10. The class president shall submit all the outputs to the instructor and be placed using the expanded envelop
submitted previously.

Areas of Assessment Points Earned
Review of Related Literature. (Area 1)
The review of related literature constitutes the introduction, body (using different
techniques), and conclusion with at least 20 studies and gives discussion on each variable
under study.
Research Design. (Area 2)
Research designs constitutes the approach, type, and method/s used by the researchers
following the content in each area.
Research Setting/Locale.
The setting/locale provides clear description of the research area in contextualized
manner and gives reason on why the setting is appropriate for the study.
Research Respondents/Participants. (Area 3)
The participants of the study are described with their demographics and explains why the
participants are fit to the study.
Research Instrument/s.
This explains and describes the type of instruments used in the study.
Data Gathering Procedure. (Area 4)
Uses a systematic way of gathering data adhering to the scientific rules/guidelines in getting
necessary information needed in the study.
Statistical Treatment of Data. (Area 5)
The use of statistical measurement and tools in the study is appropriate and fit to the study
design and method; therefore, providing an accurate results of the study.
Grammar, Sentence Construction, and APA Style Format. (Area 6)
Grammar and sentence construction are properly observed in all components of research.
Uses APA format to properly cite the reference material used for research.
