Profile
I hold a Doctorate Degree in Finance from NUST, Islamabad and am associated with academics
for the last eight years. I believe in participative style of teaching where I stress upon
understanding the concepts through group/class discussions. My subject of interest in teaching
and research are Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Strategic Financial management
and Investment Analysis. In addition to my job as a faculty, I thoroughly enjoyed the trainings
(as a lead trainer) conducted all over Pakistan for the 52 development sector organizations,
funded by USAID.

Assistant Professor - Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar
2004 to present

My responsibilities as a faculty member include the following:

 Teaching Accounting, Economics and business finance courses at Bachelors level


 Teaching Financial Management, Investment analysis and corporate finance at Masters
and MS level
 Evaluating the students and providing them with the feedback for further improvement
 Supervision of thesis writing at Masters and MS level
 Holding seminars/group discussions and identifying the guest speakers for these events

My responsibilities as a Coordinator MSc. Finance Program include the following:

 Development of MSc. Finance Program


 Improvement and customization of the program according to the market requirements
 Identifying and hiring of the suitable faculty for the program
 Faculty evaluation and provision of feedback for improvement
 Ensure the overall smooth running of the program

Lead Trainer – Capacity building of sub grantees of USAID under Gender Equity program (GEP)

My responsibilities as a lead trainer of GEP project included the following:

 Worked as a subject expert for the development of the financial management manual
for not for profit organizations of development sector
 Development of the training program for middle managers of 52 development sector
organizations
 Development of the training material
 Conducted training across Pakistan in 7 different cities for the financial managers of the
sub grantees of USAID

Lead Trainer – Bank of Khyber, Government of Khyber Pathtoonkhwa

 Conducted training for the professional development of credit officers of the bank on
Analysis of Financial Statements for Credit Lending Decision at Peshawar

Lead Trainer – Public Health Engineering Department, Government of Khyber Pathtoonkhwa

 Conducted training for the capacity building of officers of Public Health Engineering
Department at IM Sciences Peshawar
